Open world games
With Destiny, Elder Scrolls, and GTA 5 (there are probably more I failed to mention) coming out, it seem like it's going to be a big year for open world games. That being said it feels like these three from like a triad; futuristic Destiny, medieval Elder Scrolls, and present GTA 5. There is also the Oculus Rift, which is rumored to be compatible with some games on the next gen. So when do you guys think games like SAO, basicly virtual reality, will be possible? I'd say 2 more gens after the PS4 and XBox 1 to start, 3 to perfect it.

I say SAO because we can use virtual reality now, just not as advanced to be used in games. I don't mean to push an anime upon you, and sorry if thats what it seems like I was doing. I'm just trying to say if you look at the SAO world, it's pretty beautiful. A basic level and job system is incorporated in the game, along with bosses and mobs and items. They considered marriage, food, and other little side things. The game itself is amazing, the anime may not appeal to as many. Thats all I'm saying, a game similar enough to the SAO world.

Eh, GTA has free roam. And if we are back in San Andreas, we got a lot of roaming to do. I consider that open world, when we can just go where we want to go, with no need to worry about mission if you don't want to. But I guess it's all opinion.
I wouldn't really consider GTA 5 an "open world game" in comparison to Elder Scrolls.
The Witcher 3 is also open world.
