Gms Time Converter

I've noticed that a lot of people often have trouble converting Maintenance, Patch and Hot Time event times from PST to their own timezone, and there are always a few threads around asking for times when one of these is approaching. Because of that, a friend and I (he did all the work, I just asked him to make it) have made a PST timezone converter.

Basically, it'll automatically detect the current time in PST (the time Maple servers run on) and read your current time from your computer's clock. All you have to do is click the Calendar image at the top, and select the date and input the time that the maintenance/patch/etc is estimated to finish in PST from the Official Website. The box underneath then shows you the end time in PST, the end time for your timezone (local time), and a countdown for how long remains until it's the selected time.

For example, let's say you want to convert the Hot Time event for tomorrow (8th), which is 4:30pm PST. You'd load the page, click the Calendar icon, click "8" under January for tomorrow, and change the time underneath to 16:30. In the box underneath the first line would give "Server Finish Time: 16:30:00", which is the time you inserted. The second line shows the "Local Finish Time", which is the time you inserted converted to your timezone, and the third line is a countdown to the time you inserted. If you put that time in, you should get this.

I know people around here are very suspicious (for good reason, I guess), so I've provided an online scan of the link here. The page will never ask your permission to run something or anything like that, and will never ask you to input any information other than the ending times from the Official Website. All it does is convert timezones!

The direct link is here: http://neil-armitage.co.uk/Maple/
We did set up a shortened link to make it easier to remember, but apparently posting them has been blacklisted...

Hopefully there isn't a problem with me posting this here, I've read through the rules and it should be ok. We're only trying to help people out after all : )

Short version: Put server patch/maintenance times hereand it'll convert it to your timezone.

@msmiska Thanks, guess I should have anticipated this sort of reaction really.

@Derp1 Yes, we are actually very aware of Google. However, sometimes it can get to the stage where either PST or the user's own timezone is in daylight savings times, which can make converting timezones confusing for some users, and this takes daylight savings times for all timezones into account. On top of that, we thought it would be of benefit to international users for similar reasons, and for the fact that it tells the user the time in their timezone, rather than just the timezone difference. No one's saying that converting the times was hard as it was, we just thought this would make it easier and more convenient for users. Obviously you're more than happy blowing your own mind by using Google though, and that's fine with us.
no because i live in pst, but people making threads about times are pointless and a waste of space. They have all the available resources to find it out by themselves. No need to ask others.
It wouldn't be a problem for us if Nexon didn't decide to remove the servertime clock from the website.

@Trogdor139: Asking other as in making a thread about it. They can simply google ' xxx to california/pst time conversion'.

No disrespect, but obviously we've not made it for you then. You clearly have no trouble, and that's fine. But I always see people asking for times in the patch threads and making threads and stuff like that, so this is for them. Hopefully it'll be of use to someone at least...

We're not saying everybody needs help, we've just made it for the people that do.
