How are mods chosen?
How are basil mods chosen from maplestory, I'm not sure where this goes but yeah.
I know of a basil mod who used a hacking trainer so I'm curious.
If this is in the wrong section please move it.
Sorry, fixed the wording.
They perform a series of devious challenges. First, they collect 139,377 brown rocks for Mr. Basil. Then they defeat Ug-Thak, Lord of Skags. Then they pilfer the lost staff of Mount Schuler. THEN they bring Mr. Basil the head of the Destroyer of Worlds, and THEN THEY DANCE FOR MR. BASIL'S ENJOYMENT! HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA!
No, no, that's not it. I had to watch Blue's Clues for 12 hours straight. It was easy peasy lemon squeezy because I've been there, done that (seriously).
On the subject of suspension history: the only rule we deal with that's pretty much an instant disqualification is rule #3. The others don't matter as much, or they're beyond the scope of our duties (auction fraud and stuff).
@Yumtoast: At least one previous moderator used Netspeak, but he didn't use it excessively. A little is okay.
What about spelling/grammar?
If y0u wr!t3 lik3 dis -- I'm pretty sure you won't be selected either
I'm pretty sure consistent 1337speak would get you banned for spam before you could be considered for a mod position.

Normal spelling and grammar really doesn't enter into it.
Being mature enough to not need to pretend to be "cool" however is pretty important.
When Mr. Basil decides there's a need for new moderators, the process involves nomination and discussion by current Moderators of who among the Basilmarket population would make a good addition to the team. The team makes their recommendations to Mr. Basil who has the final decision and who will then invite the new members to join.
There is no "application" process. It's done primarily from people whose reporting history shows a good understanding of the Basilmarket rules and a willingness to help the site. Suspension history enters into it, but it's not the main determining factor. Personality is a factor, as in working well within the existing team.
hackers don't help the economy, they do lower prices but that isn't help
people who aren't working hard enough for the mesos to buy the weapon is obvious sign that they shouldn't have it
anyways, mods chosen by basil probably need to have perfect ban and can't curse and all that and be active and helpful i'm just assuming
i get suspended often so maybe you shouldn't listen to this lmao
