Co-op / summer student jobs
I have interviews with Google and FCC next week and I couldn't be more excited to have a ~real~ job over the summer instead of having to wait tables for 4 months. Anyone else land any cool jobs?

Still looking hoping to get one at a grocery store or something.

Are you one of those people that think getting the answer right is more important than the process to get the answer?
Those people that did make it through the first round had to have not only gotten the answers right, but they also impressed the interviewers more than you did -- whether it be personality or creativity. No one wants to take an arrogant intern under their wing, and let's be honest here: you're pretty damned egotistical. In almost every thread I've seen you post in, it's always about how your situation is so much better than person x's situation (e.g. "go back to waiting tables," etc).
Telling OP that he has no chance because you didn't get in is just "wat."

But I'll be getting my EMT-B and CNA certifications finished over the summer so maybe next summer I can do something with those. <3[/quote]
Same, but not CNA.
I wish I did land a job but too bad the place I live is down right terrible when it comes to job growth. >.<

Because you didn't doesn't mean he doesn't have a chance.
Was set up for a research internship at NYC mount Sinai doing computational bio work (data mining), but things came up and that's out of the question now. Luckily, I am on good terms with a professor there, so there's always next year. So, instead I'll be returning to a cozy internship position at Hewlett Packard like I've been doing for the past two years. I'm disappointed, but such is life. Will just be digesting research papers and reading and doing long hours of coding over the summer, and whatever else I find interesting.
