Tastefully modding your car

I recently picked up a 2005 Accord EX with the 3.0 VTEC Engine producing 240HP and 212ft/pd torque, paired to a 6 speed manual transmission. I was contemplating getting an 8th gen Civic SI, but I got a really good deal on this one and is significantly faster and more luxurious. Anyway, I was looking into some light mods. Nothing too serious because I want to maintain a good resale value. I want the three rear windows tinted without a doubt. Looks a lot better and the black leather interior gets really hot during the summer, so I figure a dark tint would help with that. But what does basil think of projector headlights and intakes? I want HIDs but retrofitting isn't an option for this car (large reflectors + scattering particles of light everwhere = everyone within a KM hates me).

Don't bother with performance mods, without big money you will not notice a difference in an NA car. I would perhaps consider a nice set of fully adjustable coilovers, but thats about it.
@Dragonbandit is completely right thus far. You won't notice much of a difference at all with those cold air intakes and such - unless you want to make some noise of course. I've never owned a honda though, but I hear it's easy as hell to get really good aftermarket headlamps with some LED DRLs - if you're looking for something like that.
I'm not really into making my car as loud as possible with bolt-ons because those things get tiring after half an hour of driving. I have friends who are into the JDM crowd and I never did like riding with them.

I used to drive an e46 328i, now currently drive an r171 slk 55.
I know what you mean. One my friends a 2001 Prelude with a Borla exhaust. It sounds decent for a 4 cyl but it does get annoying. Same thing with my friend's short ram on his 2007 mazdaspeed6. Sounds pretty cool, but kinda annoying when you're trying to hold a conversation and the only thing you can hear is TSKKKKKK every 10 seconds

@ClementZ: It already has a bit of torque steer, but that's expected for any car with over 200hp with a decent amount of torque. I'm contemplating an inch drop, but I also live in Saskatchewan were when it snows, it dumps. for 5 months at a time.

Tints, lower and stiffen the suspension.
Maybe up the wheel size an inch or two.

I'd leave the engine alone. The J30 + 6MT is plenty quick, and any more power going through just the front wheels without any sort of diff will probably result in annoying amounts of torque steer.

Basically what @Dragonbandit said.

Go big or go home. Don't bother with an intake if you don't plan on doing any other mods to the engine. Leave the engine bay untouched. You wont notice a difference with an aftermarket intake alone so its not worth the 400-500 bucks. Get your all around 20% tints. If you wan't lower it on lowering springs. 1 inch usually does make the car look more aggressive and isn't as stiff as a lower drop. Much cheaper and when you wanna resell it switch it back to stock suspension. Hid's is a very tasteful mod to appearance go with white. I wouldn't bother with projector head lights but that's just me. Anything else would be very ricey.

I have an 8th gen civic si btw. Love it and wish I could keep it but gonna have to sell it when i leave for basic combat training. -.-
