How do you tell the difference between a girl and g.i.r.l?
i'm just wondering, cuz i wanna test how many girl characters in game
are real and fake(by fake i mean guys). plus i'm board so....

Nope, G.I.R.L. stands for Guy in real life. (when you have a girl avatar but you are a boy)
If they use the word "Sweetie" or "Hon" in posts or conversations, I can virtually guarantee that they are a dude trying WAAAY too hard to seem like a cute girl.
for some G.I.R.L.S., it's pretty obvious, but there have been 2 of them which totally, totally caught me off guard. they acted so much like real girls, i, among others, was completely fooled @__@
they always made those emoticons like 'xD' or '@___@,' so on and so forth, and they just talked really girly in general :B
after talking with one of those 'girls' for a couple of hours though, he came and said he was a guy
the other one though, after 2 years of knowing 'her,' i did some extensive research on fb and found out he was a guy...
so yeah point is, there are some really good actors out there, who can make you believe they're a girl.
the way they tlk, nd if they do da face thingyss lulz.

I don't see it matters really, and there shouldn't be much of a difference between guys that wanna play as girls or actual girls. Personally if a friend asks me if I'm a girl I just give him my skype and prove it for myself... like, it's not a big deal.

If you wanna SERIOUSLY date on MS then you should get to know the other person really well before even considering it (-> facebook, chatting a lot, webcamming at best, voice chat at the least)
if not that then G.i.R.L.s don't really harm you
plus many guys make girl chars cause girls are treated better most of the time
Personally I've only met one G.i.R.L in my maple career so far (and he admitted it to me later on), the other girls I got close to added me on FB so I knew their gender for sure
Depends on where you are. If your in Henesys it is extremely obvious. But in other places, like bbqnuts123 said, there would be a lot of caps, their silly little 'crushes' or 'relationships', improper and overuse of emotions, gossip, etc.
