coffee and related drinks

how do you make your coffee? do you have a favorite brand or type of bean? do you like frappes and lattes and whatever?

i make turkish coffee usually if i actually want coffee but today used a keurig then blended the coffee with a (raw) egg and 1/2tbsp butter, plus some cloves and cinnamon and nutmeg. very foamy & FILLING, i'm actually too full to finish this cup. weird. i won't have to eat for the next, like, day....

hbu? what do you like? and how do you feel about the PUMPKIN SPICE trend?

I have a Keurig but I don't really like it, I find the coffee has too much of a watery taste to it.

I usually just drink Tim Hortons (double double, sometimes a black with sugar).

On the rare occasion I go to Starbucks I'll get a mocha frap.

Right now I brew with a Kalita Wave: http://youtu.be/EyknoezUCNg (screw the carafe, I just put it on my mug). It's hard to say which bean origins I prefer, because you can get bad beans from anywhere in the world. If it's from central America or Africa (namely Guatemala, Ethiopia, Kenya, or Mexico) and the "specs" look good (growing region, altitude, processing) I'll buy a bag.

No problem with frappes and flavored syrups. To me, they are dessert items, and I like to indulge every once in a while. I don't really have the same love for espresso-based drinks that I do for brewed coffee, anyway.

I have one of those keruig things, with the reusable cup so I can fill it with whatever coffee I want.
Whether I add cream/sugar or not depends on how I feel at that time. If I'm having it as a desert at night I'll usually add a bit, in the morning I usually skip it. Caffeine doesn't do much for me anymore, but coffee is delicious.
Not really sure what my favorite flavor or bean would be, I like most of them. Only thing I really hate is watered-down coffee... bleh...
Frappuccinos are reserved for special occasions.

I dont drink coffee, I find it super un-natural.
Why cant one just get more sleep & stay active. People even drink coffee just for the taste.. like what.
I do like coffee, but I would only drink it if I absolutely needed a boost in my day.

I drink tea

I like to pretend I'm a white girl and buy coffee from Starbucks.
Jk, I mostly drink hot chocolate/cocoa rather than coffee.

i don't really drink coffee since the caffeine doesn't really do anything for me
but i've been using the aeropress with beans my aunt picked up from target/starbucks, so i don't know what "good" coffee tastes like

it's fun to drink though. i've been weening myself off of cream though.

@xtripled: ah ok, i figured it was just canadian's (cheaper) starbucks, but i didn't know if it was actually better like a lot of Internet Canadians claim. it'll be interesting if they expand into the US though considering sbux dominates the market here even going so far as there being little coffee shops w/almost no branding/that look like mom n pop shops that still serve and are owned by starbucks. i know people swear by timmie's in canadian border states though

@snottrocket: dude ive been considering an aeropress for like, the past year. worth it? my uncle uses a bialetti and the coffee is okay but not worth switching from a cezve for me.

Any black coffee works for me as long as it's not watered down

@evyxx: think they're going to be expanding more into USA now since burger king recently bought them. I wouldn't say superior, but it's $4 cheaper for the same size of coffee, so that's why i go + canadian, so yeah lol. I would say tim horton's is definitely more popular/more locations in Canada compared to starbucks but starbucks is definitely expanding and growing in popularity. Obtaining more market share after every year and the line ups are usually always long & the stores are packed.

@xtripled: is tim horton's actually superior to sbux or is it just the thing canadians like instead of sbux? only really close canadian friend i've had says it's the same kind of coffee chain people just go to because it's on every other block
