Itt We commemorate old Basil and list why new basil sucks

I know this thread will be shunned to oblivion, but does anyone else like old basil? Every time I see a post reminding me of old basil, my mind gets blown with so much [i]nostalgia[/i]. It's like being a 90's kid.

Once upon a time, Basilmarket was so peaceful and everyone was a friendly atheist. No one played Call of Duty MW. No one listened to Justin Bieber. Every thread, unlike today, actually had original content and original memes. It was a time when Basil fame actually had street cred. There were no trolls. In fact, the word, troll, didn't exist until new basil invented it. It was so especially awesome when everyone talked in third person or made their own signature. I remember when everyone became gay or maybe that was new basil. Whatever. My proudest moment was when I got my first basil award. It was never the same for me after that. All and all, it was all swell.

TOO BAD MOST OF YOU WON'T GET IT BECAUSE YOUR OLD BASIL IS STILL new basil... buy hey YOU CAN PRETEND THAT YOU GET IT to FIT IN like EVERYONE except for the JUSTICE LEAGUE of FAMOUS OLD BASILERS who were ACTUALLY THERE!
