You can get 30 of any ore when you do part-time. It's usually Opal or Silver but it can be anything. I got 30 lidium ores yesterday! As added bonus of completing the 6h is a chance of winning a recipe. If the char has accessory as crafting skill, you can get ABR recipes, I get them quite often. if the char has smithing, best you get is android recipes I believe, as well as loads of other rare equips.

If you were on broa, I could sell you 900 opal ores. I like hoarding them.
Nope, any character can get any recipe.
Better to just go to evo and farm the ores. Lowest grade ores' cores are cheap. One run will be enough to last you to level 10, I believe, since lowest ores also only take two to smelt and provide no powders. The fatigue is damning though (and really, the 500 exp limit is the most damning of all).

@Stivik007: Yeah, you have to pay nx for the fatigue potions now luls. It's like 2k nx or some crap for just 1 bottle to reset fatigue back to 0 fully.

@emptyfridge : That's wonderful-- I guess I'll be doing this on multiple characters/mules to quicken my accumulation of ores.
@qKya : Is there a workaround for the fatigue?

@MsDit: Oh it works, but before you could use fatigue potions which had no cooldown timer on them, to make your fatigue zero. And could purchase everything you needed from the NPCs. Now fatigue potions aren't sold anymore and have a 30min cooldown penalty for using one.

@Stivik007: Well, you log into your account, go to your Character Selection Page (where all your characters at in a world (IE Scania world)) and select a character with Mining profession (for better rewards in return) and click the button that has a clock and says "Part Time Job" select 'Mining' out of 4 other jobs and leave your character as that. You cannot log in your character while on a part time job, or else you'll have to forfeit the job to log in your character (no penalties though). Have your character at work for at least an hour for some random mining-related stuff, mostly ores. It'll tell you in the description if you hover your mouse on the 'Mining' button. I recommend you doing this for 6 hours per work (the maximum) for better rewards.
Do a part time job on your character selection page and spam Mining part time job for 6 hours to get your ores. I get tons and tons of Opal just by doing that. You can leave your characters doing the work even when logged out.
I've never heard of this method before. Could you elaborate step-by-step? How many opal is "tons and tons"? Are the opals tradeable (muling)?

You used to be able to level Smithing from lvl 1>10 and reset it. Take quite a lot of time and couple hundred mil + the space for everything, but you could eventually get diligence maxed out. Now you gotta just do everything, mine ores, make them into plates and craft. Process takes a longer time but still you'll get there.
