Sony

When should I trade in my Ps3

I think I should do it before ps4 comes out right? but then i'll miss out on some later releases and have nothing to play on till it comes out
But i'm scared if I wait too long it won't be worth as much as it could have been
I'm always looking to save money
Why exactly isn't the PS4 backwards compatible? I mean, it still runs on disks, right?
I could understand the Gamecube not being b.c. with the N64, but that seems kinda odd.
the reason it is not BC is because the ps3 has a total different architecture, the ps4 hardware is x86 based and has probably an entire different Operating system
the games just do not work on the new architecture, that's why sony made that game stream thing so you can still play old games(with some additional fees i think)
and yes it still runs on didks

Earns them more money.
When PS3's came out, PS2 games were still being release and people still bought them... well into over a year after it.
its dumb how they make PS4 not backward compatible with PS3. Means that if they company does have a PS4 compatible version, you would probably have to rebuy it again
Backwartscompatibility with the ps3 is really really really difficult
this will cost sony more money which will make the ps4 more expensive so less people will be likely to buy it
and since Sony is close to bankrupt and haven't seen any profit for years, there will be no BUILT-IN BC
you can play ps1-ps3 games on it through, but that's a special stream method which likely will cost you money
