Earlier tonight I was browsing the fm when i got a trade request from some random player. They showed me 100 gfa pinks and 100 dagger att pinks, they then asked me for a p/c for these scrolls.

I gave the the price and expected to be on my way. They then asked if I could p/c some items for them. Not having anything else to do and kind of curious what they had after seeing 200 of these scrolls I said I would go along with it. They asked me to go to channel 17 fm 22 and then they traded me and showed me godly items (31% stat perfected doms, 38 att 20+% stat empress equips, etc..) and I just gave them the best p/c I could.

Then they pretended to "start to like me" and asked for to keep in touch and he buddied me, came on another mule and showed me some more godlies. He then told me that he was a duper and he wanted me to help him dupe. Then he asked for my contact info on skype.

Once they receive your skype information if they are able to get you to accept a skype call they can get your information and they will be able to DDOS you and possibly even worse. I just want to warn everyone about these types of people, it doesn't seem like they are doing anything that would scam you or take advantage of you, but they are.
I haven't seen anything about these people recently, and thankfully I was warned by my friends and guild mates to immediately block all contact with this person. Just be careful everyone.
EDIT: This person in particular I have heard is trying to do this to anyone he can. He normally approaches you on a character with the ign: Bought

I wonder why anyone would want to support duping in the first place.... If you were legit, this shouldn't be an issue to begin with but regardless I appreciate the warning~

Another one of my friends just chatted me in game saying that this guy contacted him but he saw this thread and avoided it thankfully. We just need to get the word out.

No problem, unfortunately this happened to one of my friends so I'm trying to not let this happen to anyone else.
Basically, the hacker / scammer got my friends IP address from going into a skype call with him. Then the hacker was able to shut down my friends internet repeatedly until he gave up all of his items to the hacker. This is very dangerous and can lead to more than just a loss in maple.

Well sometimes seeing godly items like that makes someones thoughts get distracted from the fact that they are giving info to a stranger.
Also, Skype isn't really a deeply personal thing for some people. I basically use it strictly for maple transactions / guild chatting and voice calling so giving it to someone who would possibly sell me items or be a new contact in maple isn't all that strange.
I wonder who would be gullible enough to give private information to a complete stranger someone has met for less than 1 day.

I experienced something similar. I walked away, giggling at their wasted effort.
Yeah, Im guessing his ign was Bought. I found this out the hard way, lost everything i worked for and so on. Watch out for him guys, he goes by the ign of Bought in Scania.

People will try to do this in all servers, it doesn't make a difference what server it's in.
