Custom Pc building suggestions?
Hello all,
So lately i've been picking out parts and i wanted to get some insight and some recommendations on what to choose in building my first custom gaming PC. I've chosen most of the parts already on pcpartpicker but i want to know how much potential this can hold up in terms of new releases as well as benchmarking wise. I'm not planning on upgrading anytime soon but i may do so in the future if i have any extra funds. Thanks all!
My budget is around 1.5-1.6k including peripherals.
Games i anticipate running:
- Crysis 3
*- Guild wars 2
- Titanfall
-any other spotlight titles
* = most likely to played

I honestly don't think you need so much ram 12 or even 8 should be enough.

NO.
Just wait until the Broadwell chipsets come out. IMO they're more power efficient and will have more power draw. Plus please wait for the 8xx series. Sure the prices will drop, but remember that. I'd go into more details but I'm on my phone atm. I will post ASAP after my shift.
@DotaRocks i don't know what the heck you are talking about because the 780 pubstomps the 760 and it's not because of that 1GB of GDDR5.

This guy knows what he is talking about. except stick with 16GB since your budget is that high not gonna hurt and you won't need future upgrading. You can get a z97 mobo and the new i5 if you want but really any will do. If you want to save money you can go for a 760 instead but your choice really.
Spend less on the case, dump the hard drive and get a 480GB/500GB/512GB ssd, dump the i7 4790 and get an i5 pre haswell refresh (considering you need one anyway to update to the bios that supports haswell refresh), dump the 16GB RAM kit and pick up an 8GB kit.
