Ok..... -_- If my words can't get my message across, then maybe my pictures will. CaimDG left earlier today. It was no big deal. The meter stayed at 75%. But, when Cr0NxTy left........... It felt like my heart blew up into a million chunks. This is a message more to newbies to this game. Please PLEASE think twice before leaving a guild! This is just as bad as dying. Sure, your ghost animation may look cute and you wanna see it from time to time ('cause you'll miss seeing it sometimes), but you'll end up wasting more time leveling up! Now think about what's happening in a guild. This not only affects the guild, but it's leader too. It took me about 2 or 3 months to get 3 quarters close to level 9, now I feel like fainting. Spend 2-3 months with me and leaves with no reason. -_- Now how am I suppose to make up for lost contributions quickly? 12% of contribution points down the drain.......

@liftconcept: Well, most of these players were online when the 11th anniversary event was on.@kiirori: My heart just dropped. O.O How are puns/play-on-words not cool?!?! Then what IS a cool guild name I should use?

Sounds like you care more about your guild status rather than the members themselves. I wouldn't be in a guild run by a self-entitled leader, so I'd quit too if I were them.

Just throwing it out there.

@moogra2u: he could probably afk in the fm for 12 hours a day and still have more contribution

gamefan is my favorite basiler tbh

You have 55k contribution and you're complaining about people leaving. The fact it took you 10 months to get to 55k gp is actually laughably bad. You should have well over 1m. It takes only 5 minutes to do RA + 2 Normal Zakums.

Like someone else already said before, a fresh new level 3 guild (give it a chance and you had your chance already with your guild and you failed) that is active , will level up a lot faster than your guild.
My guild was level 12 or 13 for a long time until I decided to level it up for my guild skills. I collected aprox. 15% GP (70-75k GP)every day and the guild leveled up once a week. So that level 3 guild with many active players will outlevel your guild within a week. You don't have to put way to much time in farming GP, but you do need active members but it starts with having a good guild name. The good and nice looking guild name does represent who you are.

But at your rate, leveling up the guild, if you really wanted to max out the guild skills, it would have taken ages really. The higher the guild level gets the more points you need to collect.

You are better of restarting a new guild with a good name or join a guild and leave your ego somewhere else. Even with a good guild name if your behaviour is not nice, the guild will die as well. Also not everyone can be active either just like you, but the active one if they see the guild is not active, they will leave.

Besides you wanted to know the reason why they left, we also don't know how you were to them, the way you talk etc.
There are some players I don't like (ego, making up lies etc) and if I was in their guild I would leave regardless how nice the guild names are. And players who left don't really need to give a reason either, in my opinion they should know it themself.

Doesn't help that the Wii U is a failure, it's going to be hard to recruit people unless they are big Nintendo fans.

@gamefan200 well, your guild doesn't even have a cool name.

@marilanna: I see. Well, I also have MS Short Stories and an MMD to finish as well. Plus, in order to attract more players, the guild needs to have a cool name.

Ok if you're not trolling then you seriously need a reality check.

1. The reason people are leaving is because the guild is totally dead.
1.5 A level 3 guild that is active and growing is going to level up much faster than your dead level 8 guild.
2. Just because you think your guild name is great doesn't mean the average Maplestory player will.
3. 11 months for level 8 guild is kind of sad... if you'd been doing bosses everyday, you would have 11*30*5000 = 1.65m contribution points.

@gamefan200: you talking in the past comments explains everything why no one would wanna stay in your guild. I'd like to add more things: it's not lvl 25, the name isn't something I'm sure majority would relate to, and the guild is dead.

@readers: I did. I asked "Excuse me, y did u leave?" upon seeing in the chat "(player) quit the guild". But on a scale of 1 to 10, only 1 of those 10 reply with a reason. All 3 of these players never replied. Plus, MS is a time-based game. Every millisecond counts as contributions collect overtime via the numbers of hours that character your online stays online. I can't disband by guild now. It's too late to turn back as it's lvl 8. It took me 11 months to get this far in guild leveling. I also can't risk letting the same thing happen again like in FinalPath! Like, who knows what the leader's/officer's mind frame is thinking!

@gamefan200: I actually read that long post. Sounds like you were trying too hard on the details that don't matter (like the perfection of your guild name) - to the point of taking this game too seriously. Maybe that's why people don't want to be in your guild - especially if you only see them for their contribution and not as actual people who can make rational decisions for themselves. Your "me" attitude (of securing guild skills for YOUR sole benefit) over addressing the concerns of others in the guild is also very telling from that post (instead of complaining, maybe ask why they are leaving without being judgmental about it?).

@gamefan200: too long didn't read anything but the last sentence. One word guild > a guild that sounds like it likes wieners.

@fighterdoken: Ok, maybe I should give you some background info about my guild and how it ended up like this. It all began when my main was currently in FinalPath. So I created "OneManArmy" with my Zero mule just to be safe and put my other mules in that guild. You can never be sure what might actually happen out there. And soon enough, my perseverance pays off and my instincts were correct. The FinalPath leader cowardly kicks me; giving me no reason for my boot whatsoever! Regardless of my bossing each day, they still kicked me for no reason! So, I moved my main to my mule's guild. But then...... Thats when I realised I'm gonna need more than myself to level my guild. The reason I like guilds is because they have special time-saver skills. Spotting Small Change, Fearless, Banner of Plenty, etc, are all major beneficial guild skills to have as they'll help me in getting more meso, spend less at npc stores and then some. Enhancement Mastery will help improve scroll success rate, Item and Upgrade Salvation will help save an upgrade slot and maybe the whole item from destruction. But to get these skills, My guild needs to be at a certain level to unlock them then 1 more level to activate them. So I had to recruit players to level it up quickly and get the skills unlocked. Soon, world merge came. I was forced to rename my guild. I couldn't think of anything cool for the time, til finally I got a name: WiiLuvTheWii; as the max number of characters for a guild name is 12. How I came up with the name is this: you know that maple anniversary song "Smile Luv U"? Yes, thats what got me the first half of the idea. Then, I turned my focus on the Wii console. Then...... Bull's eye! I got the perfect guild name! I thought to myself "Who can't resist a play on words guild?" Because "WiiLuvTheWii" is a portmanteau/pun/play-on-words! I thought this will score me a ton of players! But........ Somehow, it had the opposite effect. Many didn't accept the guild invite with few players replying with phrases like "Nah, the wii sucks" or "No, your guild is trash". I felt like my heart missed a beat. I couldn't believe what I just read. Like, I replied "You DON'T have to like the wii! It's not a mandatory thing!" But still, they refused to join me. I can't understand it! Like, what is it with these people?! Why do they have such a poor attitude to the wii? Like, who can't enjoy Mario games? Also, my guild is currently LEVEL EIGHT. Another player quitted mine to join a LEVEL THREE guild! I couldn't believe what I just saw! Like, a level three guild has less guild skills than a higher lvl guild! So yeah. Please help me with some advice here. Like, whats with their attitude against my creativity? Because some guilds had names like "Noble", "Tune", "Toast", etc. These are only one word. How can a one word guild attract more players than a play-on-words guild like mine?

You shouldn't even be moaning over something so trivial, especially when your own contribution points is barely over 55,000.

As a guild leader, I can only give one bit of advice: Only focus on the contribution points that you are able to accumulate, the contribution points of everyone else within the guild comes second, but is equally important towards your goal, nonetheless.

Also, never expect too much from your guild members, work with those who are equally motivated in helping you in attaining the guild level that you want and eventually things will work out.

Sorry, Nexon made it to easy to make guilds and now everyone wants their own guild. The best people for your guild are all in a guild. If, and this is a big if, you can find a handful of active, friendly, people that will flag race daily, they will get your guild noticed. For now, cheer yourself up with figs!

o.o

Er i feel like creating and running a guild should be a group effort rather than just a 1 man leader, try to find people you like and trust and ask them for help. It'll make running a guild much easier than you think. As for people leaving and stuff it happens all the time but it's a rather petty reason to be sad for.

My advice is just keep on moving on and if you put in enough effort eventually you'll get what you want. Gl and hf~

Dude... the reason is pretty clear. In case you don't realize it... yur guild is ded man. If you want them to stop leaving, you gotta get activ members which is pretty impossible considering how garbage the game is and is ded
