Maple isnt pay to win

It's pay to do anything. Here comes yet another event for the kids who can access their parent's credit cards.

Instructions unclear, tried to let it go, now toilet is plugged.

Wow calm down there. 7B is a sufficient amount of meso to fund a character decently or merch. If she continues at this pace, she will be funded quite well.

I think so, you're probably right on that. I usually avoid games with purchases, so the exact definition has never really crossed my mind. Although for MapleStory, I've never had the problem with dealing with those kinds of people, but that's just me. I've never spent any money on this game, but I've still had a lot of fun, I guess it's better if you play with friends you know though.

Actually, the strongest people in the game are usually spend nothing or next to nothing. Spending irl money can actually limit you once you get to a certain point. You do have a point though, either this game is pay to win or spend a crapton of time to win
Well if you are willing to break TOS, a permit is only 180m. You could use basil to get that much, possibly, or build trust with someone to sell in their shop. I've sold tons of stuff for other people. I have to use a pet because of my ping rate, but not everyone has to. I agree though, shops should really be free to allow trading. Or use a system like Diablo 3, which was the only good thing about that game

It's possible. I'm not expecting to have a fully funded char, ever. For that you do need cash, or years of commitment, but you can do most things without it.
The thing is that nexon sees through this.

Why spend hours in the game when you can get a job, make minimum 10$ (1b an hour), assuming 8 hours a day 7 days a week = 560 (56b) a week, convert that into mesos and fund ur character to be pro and boss to make mesos, sell the drops for profit ,and then sell ur equipment later for how much you spent.

Even when I was merching, which arguably is the best nonbossing method to make mesos, I would average at most 5b/week. Nexon knows how its players have grown in intelligence to see that converting nx to mesos is the best way to play the game..and either way Nexon profits
edit: @mrmoogle: I get what you're saying, in that you didn't have to spend much, but you just said it yourself. You had to spend some money to be successful in the game, and even that level of success, which took you roughly a quarter of a year, is debatable according to some arbitrary new standards. How would you have sold anything at a fair price without a shop permit? People who refuse to spend money on this game are effectively blocked from participating in the game's economy. Sure, you can stand in the laggy entrance and spam your wares, but what are the odds that some player will come along looking for that exact item, at that exact time, and for your advertised price? Not likely. Access to a shop is vital for character funding, and a shop is impossible to obtain without real money.

Oh my god. Frozen. In. A. Game.
wantwantwantwantwant.

Oh, and I called it.

EDIT: But darn it, they gotta make at least the snow castle chair available as a quest

I agree with you. The people that are denying it have probably spent thousands on this game and are ashamed to admit what is true.

At first I thought the Frozen Fandom in Korea was bad but this is just ridiculous o-o
If you've seen the videos it's mostly middle aged men dressing up as Elsa with dish washing gloves signing Let it Go o.o
Nexon KMS really wants to milk this fandom
Also Cross over events are sorta out of place in most games

@lhlayato: If you're using coding skills to make Maple bots, as basic as that skill is, I worry for you. It's more worth your time to clip your nails with a chainsaw.
wait wait so you're whining to us that new cash items are pay to win? ok I'm done
I see you have used the word "whining" incorrectly. To assist you, I've provided the definition.

Whining: complain in a feeble or petulant way.

@Dorks: That was years ago. The average age has since dropped, since most older players are too intelligent to be trapped in a game of quality and content this poor.
