I use these:

Need to use it carefully. You don't need to use much force. They easily break.

I used to use wooden tooth picks untill I got the plastic one which is more sturdy and last much longer. I only use the 'blade' looking side though. The other ending is crap.

Interdental brushes (I need to buy new set) example:

These items are pretty pricey in my opinion, especially the Gum Softpicks. I do like the 2th Picks, it last very long, easy to clean. I don't like those dental floss (wires).

I hate doing anything routine, specifically the act of going to do it (taking a shower, brushing teeth, etc) so I usually do the bare minimum.
So no I don't unless my mom tells me to.

EDIT: just FYI, I DO do those routine things, I just hate going to do them. Every time. My daily life is filled with hate.

Also, Asians are known for being clean to the point of trying too hard, so I'd expect all of you Basilers (Asians) to floss twice a day.

@lokithestrange: I just think it's dumb. I do own one, but I only do it maybe once a month. I feel like it doesn't do a dang ol thing. I am very good at brushing twice a day so that's not even an issue. Never ever had problems with teeth. Zero cavities and no sugar cravings haha.

I used to, but I never benefited from it so I stopped, I just brush my teeth 2 or 3 times per day now.

i floss everyday because im a dental hygienist and as a hygienist the water flosser is good but not as good as the traditional floss but you should really use the traditional dental floss if you want healthier gums

@greatbolshy: I hear ya. I had braces when I was younger and corn on the cob was a nightmare. Lol.

@cannoneer: corn on the cob and chicken are the reasons i started flossing. those 2 foods love to get stuck in my teeth. i either pick at my teeth all night to get the little pieces out or spend about 2 mins with my water flosser getting everything flushed out.

Admittedly, I only started flossing regularly (usually every other day) because I got used to having to get dip out of my teeth. My oral hygiene improved after I started because I became more conscious of it. Suppose that's one positive takeaway from it. Gums and teeth have always been fine for the most part.

If you're willing to have lots of cavities, many root canals and the potential loss of all your teeth, don't floss. Otherwise, do.
