I was planning to leave this one until April but you guys motivated me to finish it early The biggest challenge was possibly drawing the patterns on her clothes. That was really time consuming.
This drawing was my submission for Design 2011 MapleCalendar Event and the result was...well you know the rest. *cries* But then I don't blame them for not liking this. I ran out of time after drawing the character so I just took a screenshot of Rien and used autopaint for the background. It was my first event submission so I was rather hopeful but I guess they didn't like it because I didn't put enough effort into it. However for this one I did paint the background...but on top of the screenshot(shame on me OTL)
...and before anyone mentions this...yeah I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I was drawing those ribbons >_> they really are too long aren't they? Anyways I hope you like it. If you have any questions leave a comment or PM me.
I would be happy to take requests but not at the moment. Maybe I would during summer break.

I have GIMP on my desktop computer but for some reason it takes minimum 5 minutes to load(unlike photoshop which it takes less than 10 seconds). I'm really hoping to get Painter fixed. It really looks like an awesome program but what's the use if it won't even load? TT_TT

1. She does have arms read my comment above. I had to lower the quality to fit the file size so the colour around her sleeves got messed up a little XD
2. I always imagined her to be a girl around age 13 so making her look young was intentional. Does she really look like a baby? My sister told me she looks really old like 20 or something...=_=

I used Photoshop CS4 for both background and the character. I bought Corel Painter about a week ago but I'm unable to use it due to Windows 7 compatibility issue
