Athenaeum Lag?
I'm on the third book but when I'm in the cursed ereve map, the place where you go after you escape the black wing place, there is this immense lag and I can't do anything. The screen is also all black and it's really hard for me to move my mouse and to get out of there. I turned down the graphics also but there is still lag. Anyone else experienceing this?

I'm just lagging a lot in general today after the patch, failed a bunch of DI runs.
There's just something with grey maps in maplestory that causes massive amount of lag to most users.
Both this and the Labyrinth in Gollux will cause lag and so the best you can do is just hope that you can at least move little even through lag and complete it that way.
Same issue for me
I literally have a new laptop, I even turned down the graphics and I still lag while doing Comerci....Ur mem has to be top notch as well as ur processor to play this game the way it is now....I think, I'm going to wait till unscheduled maintenance

Agreed. I don't feel like ms is even ms. It lost the spark of hope and fun. It had good intentions but terrible execution.
And nexon needs to learn that things that are fine do NOT need changing... especially when they become worse
turn your graphics down. when you get sent to another map, change it again so you don't lag
