"As the flames of the pyre grew, a great cloud appeared, a bolt of lightning struck, and the body of Hercules disappeared. Hercules, now an immortal god, had been taken to Mount Olympus to be with his father, Zeus, and the other gods. "

he became a god. in your faces...
". Only supernatural forces could defeat him, and it was magic that ended his mortal life. In Greek mythology, only two figures with half-mortal, half-immortal parentage--Hercules and Dionysus--became immortal and were worshiped as gods."
But i read that part. I just still don't believe Hercules became a god. =-=
Edit; K fine. Hercules became a god. But I still consider him a demigod considering how he was actually born as a demi-god. Other than that, I can agree with you.

Immortal can't die. DUR? And gods are these "deities" that control the world with a specific duty. Hercules has no specific duty or a power to govern the Earth/humans.

This isn't the Disney rendition, and Hercules got poisoned by his wife so he wouldn't cheat on her. He is a demi god though.
