@siggy: Weapon Speed doesn't affect the cast speed of magic skills (except for BaM's) but Attack Speed buffs do affect Mana Burst.

It's only the base speed on the weapon that doesn't matter.

OT: If you need 3% crit rate to hit 100% crit rate, then use a wand. If not, use a staff.

Oh now it makes sense after years @keyan22 , it's easier to say it affects basic attack speed instead of casting speed like when we use skills. That's easier to understand because I thought the speed of weapon also affects our skills.

@siggy: it's likely just a byproduct of MS being so old. that is, Nexon really can't be bothered to essentially normalize Mages by having only attack speed. of course, then there's the balance headache that'd come with that. Nexon's just slow sometimes. after all, Explorer Mages had no weapon multiplier until RED.

@wiiman360 That's weird then. I wonder what reasoning makes it not work. If there is any, that is.

@siggy: just tested it yesterday i used a normal att speed wand, a slow att speed staff and a fast att speed staff (mushroom)

@keyan22 Yeah pre revamp weapon speed didnt affect any of our skills, but weapon speed should affect Mana Burst atm since attack speed bosts affect it. I dunno why it wouldn't. Without more testing this isn't really gonna get anywhere, lol.

@siggy: Before the revamp it was confirmed not too, I'm not sure as of now though.

@keyan22 Huh, that really doesn't make sense to me. They should affect it the same way as the wands higher att speed theoretically.

@siggy: Decent SI and stuff changes the speed of it, I just see no change with a wand, I have booster on so that might be it, but if it only helps without it it's not too useful.

@keyan22 It should work on Mana Burst, since attack speed boosts affect it, otherwise it wouldn't work on other mages, except for old F/P's Explosion skill. It'd be odd if boosting attack speed worked, but having a faster attack speed weapon didn't..

@siggy: I've tried to make sure, it doesn't seem at all different, even tried all tiers of "speed", seen no difference, even tried on other mages too.

@keyan22 Actually it does affect Mana Burst along with other attack speed buffs

@sorlilly: The wand attack speed only effects basic attacks, doesn't do anything with the casting part.

Staff so you can resale so I keep thinking the speed on wand over staff will help Mana Burst a bit like +1 attack speed.

The extra attack is better in the long run.
