Finding hair in your food

Lots of people seems to go apesht when they find hair in their food. Like you know, they look like they're about to puke. When I find hair in my food I'm just like "uurgh, this hair shouldn't be on my food but what the hell". So I just take it out and continue eating because as long as I don't get sick, right? Finding hair in your food isn't nice, but I never understood how people can be so overdramatic about it. Mostly those hypocrites that go crazy about finding hair in their junk food. The fact that you find hair in this unhealthy piece of junk won't make your Bigmac any worse, so the hell are you worried about your health?

uhm. If I find hair in my food at home, I just take it out and eat. But it's pretty rare for such a thing to happen so.. yah.
I've never found hair or anything in my food when i'm eating out. It's not that I don't pay attention - in fact, I pay more attention. If I did find hair i'd throw the food out :s.

You win.
There's a reason the phrase goes "have [you] by your short and curlies."

I mean, have you seen pubic hair? Like ever? It's typically darker, shorter, courser and curlier than the hair that grows from your head.
I'm the last person you should be asking that question too. I obviously wouldn't expect anyone to know this but i actually have a fuzzy carpet down there lmao. All the claims i made previously i was judging them based off of my own body. For an 18 year old, I'm actually kinda hairy. @_@
The only difference between my hair down there vs the hair in my head is that my pubic hair is longer. Other then that it's the same shade of color, not shorter actually, and yeah.
Btw, i NEVER heard that phrase before.

its common to find hairs on food but pubic hairs are unlikely to get on food those are in hidden places
theres a reason why you wear hair nets on kitchen, not butt netts lol

Well in a public restaurant, you kinda have a point. But at home... Lol. I'll let you think more on that.
You don't understand. The hair could potentially be from ANY where of the body. It could be Pubic hair to be blunt about it.
And even if it was from someone's head. For all you know they could have a lot of dandruff or LICE.
Or it may seem like a stretch, but it could also be hair from an animal which flew into the food.

I meant the stuff I mentioned landing AFTER cooking, which does indeed happen 100% of the time (before and after wrapping if any). Also the same could be said about hair, you cook it and it's safe to eat.. just not tasty but safe.
I don't have much to say anymore in that case. I mean I'm not sure if the food temperature after it's done cooking could remove anything that lands on it. Like soup after you remove it from the microwave or finish preparing it. I would assume hot temperatures would get rid of the threat of any of the 3 things you. For a short time that is.
@shini: Pubic hair is usually thicker and curly. So there, I can almost prove where the hair came from, unless the person has curly hair which in that case I'd rather not risk it but these days most people have straight or wavy hair.

I think you're just paranoid if you're gonna worry about butt hair.
What if I told you dead skin cells, bacteria, and dust mites from any part of.. anything, can land right on your food?

Alright I apologize, I shouldn't be so rough on an AIDS patient.
I have curly hair in real life lol ^^
And it being thicker and curly is irrelevant regardless, since assuming it lands in hot/warm food, the temperature would straighten out the hair.
And also, cooked food usually gets rid of all those 3 things you mentioned. Nothing is going to survive stove flames or 200+ degree boiling water. My dad dropped hamburger meat on the kitchen floor before, and throw it back in the skillet and it did get rid of all the bacteria that infected that burger. We all ate from it and none of us was even 00.01% sick.
Which is why you only really have to worry about hairs on your food since they could get on the food after it's finished cooking, warped(if it's a fast food joint) and served.

Btw, the only instance you could really tell the difference between pubic hair and normal hair is by color. If someone dyed their hair for example. I know some people, usually women whom have different colors and tones for their pubic hair and normal hair on their heads.

The thing is though, you wouldn't know if it's public hair or not since all hair on the body is identical. You wouldn't be able to prove where the hair came from, therefor people take a hair being in their food as vomit-inducing.
You wouldn't hear a case where pubic hair has been on someone's food since there would be no way to prove it, all you could do is assume and think the possibility that it is pubic hair. Or ass hair as other guy in here said. x_x

Hair is so thin and light so it could float in the air and inconveniently place itself in your food.
