Battlemage

Seriously what is this gt.lt

The control of the keyboard you need now to dish out max damage is just too insane, i'm going to switch over to another mage class soon i think.

The control needed to play this class is litteraly insane now, i swear this kms doesnt even touch the ground anymore at some points in the boss run wich is completely insane..
And then theres me around the 1 minute mark.
me, check around the 1 minute mark for what i mean
KMS bam smooth af

Seriously is none of you guys bothered by this?
Or are you guys just as good as the kms bam in control?
Let me know what you think please, really need you guyses input in order to descide what i need to do .
I just don't telecast lol. I don't even have Dark Shock activated most of the time...
I use it for training, but for bosses, I don't actively telecast. it messes with my control and ends up getting me killed more than increasing my DPS.
I also do not have it active for PB or empress. That's just a death sentence.

I find it hard to telecast in between Finishing Blows due to my fingers getting really stiff. I should probably move FB and Tele from Space and C to A and D (Might be better if FB and Tele are a key apart so my fingers don't get tired). Having a fast staff (Ele-Staff) makes it harder too, I guess I'll have to learn to press FB and telecast correctly and not mash two buttons to potentially miss a telecast.
EDIT: I stuck with my original keys. I'll never play BaM like that guy in KMS

Anyone that says it's easy to control is a disingenuous asshat that either hasn't played it or takes their godly connection for granted.
It requires perfect connection and near frame-perfect inputs to achieve max DPS like that KMS player. I hate it.

Those that advocate for control-based classes in maple must just assume everyone has a perfect connection. Lag is a thing, and it wrecks that whole "control" thing. This isn't Starcraft II. I don't want to have to feel like I'm playing Flight of the Bumblebee on my keyboard to do well in maple.

Being from europe might also play a part in the whole thing most likely

Yeah, I've essentially given up trying to telecast optimally. Latency plays a big role, especially since I lack DSI I know that a lot of other strong BaMs have. When I see how crisply KMS players are able to portal through dojo, I cry. Heck, I'm located in LA with Nexon and with a wired 150mbps dl/ul connection and I still get hit with the "The door has not been opened" message a fair amount of times whenever I dojo.

I get frustrated by it, but it's something I've just come to live with. There's too much sentimental value and time put into this character for me to even consider switching (medal collection, maxed traits, farm level, identity, etc.)..
wwtffff you can teleport up like that? my BaM's sitting at 162 since the revamp and I haven't even tried this omygat
You can also teleport mid-air from point to point and teleport up ladders/ropes. It might be one of the best teleports magicians get in the game now.
I agree with you. Lag effects you a lot and KMS servers are OP compared to GMS. Another thing that does bother me is the Risk VS reward. either fail a telecast and lose a couple of seconds worth of DPS or pass and get an extra 4 lines in. Doesn't feel that great
This. There is also more failure once you fail a telecast. It can mean the difference between 12 seconds or 20 seconds at mu gong.
Also depending on atk speed while the dps is increased, i feel it is harder to control/adjust.

It's actually very easy to do but if your maple lags then you're gonna have a bad time. The fact that lag can easily mess you up makes the need to telecast for maximum dps a bit of a pain to deal with, especially when it comes to smaller mobile bosses. It's certainly more engaging but I can see it being a huge turn off for a lot of players due to that.

it looks pretty simple, just telecasting up, using the reaper thing while using your melee skill inbetween.. you just look really stiff. Like you'd be more comfortable playing a class you don't have to do much playing in. Try F/P mage!

it's not really that hard to telecast in between hits

I don't play my Battle Mage anymore but that sure as heck looks like it makes the gameplay much more fun and diverse.

Of course there could be issues with the class and such but in this scenario there doesn't seem to be one.

To be honest, i think every class should be like this. A lot of people who don't play rpg think you don't need skill to play but just good items. I think new BaM showcases that you do need to practice the mechanics in games like maple. (of course, there are classes are zero and such, but i think bringing some heavy mechanical requirements to this game would enhance quality of game)
