@albums: spirit corral if it 1 hits is better because it has a wider horizontal range. I only used tengu during romeo and juliet party quest grind. Or if theres a vertical platform above that can be reached by the lightning of the second cast of tengu.
Context-dependent question. Do you have potion pot? If yes, then spirit corral spam on flat maps like SDH. If not, then shiki combined with vanquisher charm.
do u use tengu strike at all or is spirit corral better for SDH
The big thing to remember is that Kanna uses mana for most of their attacks. The only real exception to this is Shikigami Haunting, which is a basic, spamable mob spell that has 0 mana requirements. Essentially, you can fire off as many of your other spells as you want until your mana runs out, then use Shikigami Haunting until it recharges.
The revamp does help in the way that the mana pool will be larger and there will be a skill to help recharge mana faster. However, the same basic thing applies to all spells - use whatever works until mana runs out, then use Shikigami Haunting until mana refills.
It really depends on the number of mobs, IMO. I use Shikigami for simple cannon fodder in small groups, but in Dimension Invasion I usually use a combination of Vanq Charm (with the +2 mobs hyper skill) and Soul Shear's active explosion (since it hits 15 or however many.) Read the post above mine for end-game training situations.
The revamp doesn't change much at all, IIRC. Let me see if I can find the info again...*semi-translates Silver Bullet's blog on the fly*
Yeah, nothing in terms of functionality has changed, except for the fact that:
a) We have a skill that costs HP to restore mana,
b) all 3 effects of the Shikigami buffs now apply simultaneously and are passive, rather than active buffs.
edit: c) we get a little more max mana thanks to a hyper skill point they FINALLY added.
