Whos job is it to contact for auctions?
So I'm wondering, who's job is it to contact, buyer or seller? I've seen too many instances where people forget to contact each other and the auction never goes through.
most likely it's up to both people, but what if they send a PM once telling you to "get on now" when you can't and then you tell them you will be on at certain times and they never respond and then they leave negative feedback.

Not a whole lot you can do if they won't respond. You can try to find them in the game and whisper or chat them, but some people just don't follow through.
As far as contacting, I agree with Dr. Hye. If you really want the trade, you should always contact the other person regardless of whether you're buying or selling.
What about people who just say "can you get on now" once and then never reply again?
Bottom line is that no matter who you are in the trade, just try your best to contact the other. I wouldn't risk a trade not happening because I felt I shouldn't be the one to contact first
Both the buyer and the seller should try to contact each other once they are online.
Makes it much easier.
