Demon Avenger vs Demon Slayer?
Hellooooo,
So after realizing that Nexon no longer has any love for a full on punching class, I have decided to create a warrior! I remember having lots of fun on a demon slayer a long time ago but I also recall them being underwhelming in their potential/bossing/overall damage. I general like a bossing class and found that demon avenger would be a great class as they are cheap with %hp and look pretty fun. However, it still occurs to me that demon slayers look much more fun and regardless of their damage, I would still make one if I can enjoy it. So my question is, in terms of both damage and fun(fun taking priority over damage), which class should I pick, Demon Avenger or Demon Slayer? More specifically, could anyone name any advantages one class has over the other such as funding,bossing, hp, etc. I have played a kaiser in the past as well and found that I really like characters who are similar to an aran, kaiser, demon slayer, etc so any other suggestions for a class would be very helpful!

I simply cannot stress this enough. With DA, its not simply put a boulder on your Execution key and afk. Training and bossing as a DA is a little tedious to say the least. Why do people laways say Demon Avenger just spams? You utilize 3-4 skills at a time to do the most damage that you can,it's absolutely not boring.

@fradddd: don't have to but that's how it's played these days. I've tried demon cry in mpe as well it's not effective as I mentioned earlier in this thread. Demon cry will blow DA out of the way though in Romeo Juliet pq. Don't need a high range to one shot those mobs.
@Mesmus: you don't have to spam demon cry you know, it's not that good. When I play my DS in Monster Park Extreme I can just go around using regular attack and it seems better than spamming Demon Cry.

I love demon slayer! Didn't like DA that much, although it's heal skill was kind of nice and DA's use hp and no demon fury or mana which is nice I guess. DA just didn't interest me as much as DS did, love my DS

My DA is only lvl 105 ATM since I made him yesterday, but as for DS: I consider my 175 one to be pretty weak considering his funds, but damn it's fun going to take a piss in the middle of a HT / CZak solo, and coming back to see him at full hp. I don't know how this differs with DA, though, as I have yet to boss on him.

OT: Never tried bossing on any of those characters, but for "fun" definitely DA.. But their 1st-3rd job are the most boring crap I've played.. DS on the other hand, their 1st-3rd job is much easier. I love the attack speed on DA wish my main can attack that fast. My preference would be DA>DS in terms of "fun" because that's how the retarded game is meant to be played..
Besides, most bosses so pointless nowadays
If op is concerned about mobbing, I find the level 170 hyper for DA very good for mobbing. Bossing and funding wise, I haven't played DS past 150 but you need to be quite funded to hit hard and there is also that upcoming nerf to Demon Cry if you are concerned about that. There are also other DA vs DS threads in basil that give good pointers, you ought to search for them.

Overall I would say Luminous. Reflection man...
Then demon avenger. Nether slice has good horizontal range and execution has some vertical height. But again it's still depends on the map. Luminous If unfunded can struggle at dimension invasion pq where the mobs are cluttered up already. Luminous attacks semi-slow so it might get rough there. But a class like xenon and demon avenger would breeze through there.

My friend Chris mains a DS, I main a DA. We have about the same funding, and I out-damage him by a long shot.
Usually when we're bossing i have to wait for him to get all of his cooldown skills ready (blue blood, dark meta) and that's a good 90-seconds of waiting... not to mention those are very important skills to DS's damage output. While bossing his Demon Cry debuff is significantly weaker than the Nether Slice Debuff, only advantages Demon Cry's debuff has is the minuscule exp and drop %...
I've mained both classes and i stuck with DA for many reasons... The HP recovery makes you pretty much un-killable. Nether Shield pierces through Cancel-weapon-attack buffs on bosses. Nether Slice is much more efficient than Demon Cry due to the longer debuff duration. I don't need to wait for any cooldowns while I boss, the only one really being Bind which bosses resist for usually 60-90 seconds after use anyway. Mobbing is fast and I believe is just about as good as DS's due to attacking faster (and also the DC nerf as mentioned above).

I understand but speaking from my experience at something like, monster Park extreme.
While my da kills them in 3 hits, my ds needed to demon cry like 5-6 times or so. Unfunded btw just link skills here.
Also, those 3 hits from DA are super fast. Once you get execution at full power the damage is huge and attacks are super fast. Well with demon cry, 15 mobs extra exp but extremely long animation, and relies on good map layout to be effective since its a big circle. For example RnJ pq. My DA did well there could hit both platforms at once but demon cry can hit 4 platforms lol.

Demon cry alone in my opinion is enough to out mob Demon Avengers; Its basically a spammable ultimate.

umm have you ever actually played either class because Demon Slayers are one of the best mobbers in the game while Demon Avengers have rather weak mobbing
