Starting from what range is I/l gt F/p?
I've heard around that I/L outpowers F/P at 1.2m+ range. Is this true?
And which of the two is a better class for dojo?

Hahaha My range is 70k. So noob. Not that I play anymore cause Macs. >.<
@ArchM0onL is pretty much on the spot. I'll add that at very high ranges (when you can cap with paralyze) F/P's are superior in terms of DPS due to inferno aura and DoT, but for the most part I/L is better at higher ranges.
The speed of paralyze is only slightly slower than chain lightning, so you won't notice much dps difference when you cap on both of them. Frozen orb does help you gain more dps but fire poisons have DoT and inferno aura. But chain lightning is much easier to cap and easier to hit all crit, that is.
Ice lightning is much better at dojo due to frozen orb. It also applies to chaos vellum, besides greater teleport distance gives them greater mobility.
My feeling is F/P is great for unfunded, if you are funded, ice lightning is more convenient.
Well yes and no.
The thing about f/p is that you will most likely start seeing capped damage at around 600 to 700k range from ME and FH.
So in order for an f/p to deal more damage he or she must use an attack that is not only faster but also has higher hps which is Paralyze. Once that happens f/p should far outdamage i/l.
I think what they meant is during that dilemma period for f/p i/l fan catch up in damage. I doubt it would be as early as 1.2m as said or if the outpower even happens if not that significantly though.
