To the people who quit
Do you ever get those days where you wanna play? There are so many people I want to meet.
Off topic, TSM Zero lost to fg pit Andreas and Liquid Nairo today
P.s. wassup

@foro: " A good friend of mine just ''quit'' recently. I expect to see him make a full return within 6 months "
damn it...
@lokithestrange: yes you are lol
Whenever one of my buddies says they're quitting I say see you in a few weeks.
@meiguihua: That's just because I am very boring and annoying
@ashleyattacked: well i had the gut feeling that the population is growing. i mean how can the population not be growing when there are daily "back from 2 year break" threads popping up on reddit/basil.
still, will it really reach peak population? i have my doubts.
Well I kinda quit. To answer your question... I get mixed feelings.
I REALLY REALLY don't like with a passion having to log onto MapleStory. I really don't like how MapleStory is nowadays, and it feels like a major waste of time. Not only that, this game personally caused more suffering then a good time for me.
MapleStory doesn't even feel like a game(Well excluding starplanet), more like a job/work. Compulsion is what gives me the desire to keep coming back, but then you have to remember what made you stop playing in the first place. I would very well link MapleStory addiction to drug addiction.
Also a part of what makes you wanna play again after quitting is all the time/money you invested. It's difficult for most to throw all that away. I'm sure many of us wasted many years on MapleStory, therefor making it hard to just leave it behind and move on. When in the end, you'd be left with nothing. Rather in my case, I'd be left with nothing, and bad memories and experience.
I guess if someone truly wants to quit, they'd have to delete all their characters and deactivate their Nexon account. Only rational way i see it if you want to throw this game away and move on with your life.
except there are plenty that aren't coming back, do you really think the population is gonna return to what it was several years ago?
I'm actually one of Nexon's shareholders. Each quarter they release info to everyone that invests money into the company...they release populations, how the games are each doing, etc. This info, if it were fake or lies, would be punishable by law and whenever it's happened in the past...people end up with jail time. So yeah...I'm confident that it's accurate.
Anyways, the population is actually still growing....and, it's actually higher now than it was in time other than some weird bump in spring 2013.
So yeah.

No one ever quits, They always come back.

@lokithestrange: I was kinda lazy responding to you and you afk everytime I send a message to you
BTW...no one quits maplestory.
If you're here on this forum...you're playing maple.
No one ever quits, They always come back.
I got hacked once bc of a database breach related to MTS (Nexon actually admitted it to me in my ticket.)...Essentially I was undercutting, by accident, some big name hackers who merched chairs like I did. The day it happened...I logged in...I saw that I had been hacked...and then, without saying anything or telling anyone...I logged out.
I didn't log back into the game for over a full year.
Eventually everyone goes back to Maple. Not like it's a bad thing, anyways. The way I see it is that saying you're quitting maplestory is like saying you're quitting Skype or Aim or Texting on your phone.
Maple is what you make it...and to many people it's just a glorified chat program.
i haven't played for 9 months so i'd really like to come back but even in windia the population is too depressing
Pretty much happens every year for me. I "quit" for about 8-12 months, then I come back for 2-3. I've lasted a lot longer this time around though. It seems that joining an active guild, as opposed to just flying solo like I usually do, has made the game more enjoyable for me.
@jaredragonx9: 10/10 would meme with again
@decensy: how was the quality of his memes? must be pretty legit if you thought he was me.
@jaredragonx9: Uh @hellonub132 said he was you LOL
@decensy: was someone impersonating me? o.o
@duriel123 kirby only pokefloats
Yes, as an on and off player, I limit myself to how I play maple. Whether its bossing or guild related.
@jaredragonx9: Nvm, I found out who it was LOL
No smash4 man, melee is where its at.
was it really you that stalked me
i haven't been on maple in about 2 months (minus the time i saw @traitor in sp with some other people, forgot who but i didnt say anything anyway)
i dont remember stalking you but i could have just forgotten
play when you like
Outgrown it, I think I'm fine for now if i can see what new updates are out. Unless maplestory makes drastic changes in their gaming experience that makes it fun ms2 seems to be the provider of better gameplay.
When ever I think about it, I just skype @MeiGuiHua (every couple of months) but she doesn't help much, so I just do whatever It was pretty fun doing a burning character (Czar Baldy-bald), but got bored after I got to level 70 and stopped again. Basically what @justsofly said.
was it really you that stalked me
Just a little, I'd get on for a bit and then I'm reminded why I stopped playing in the first place.
u wish you could be with me
Le booty buhda has enlightened me.
"No booty is worth a thousand chasings"
That being said I'm only at around 600 ;3
yah i stopped playing for a week but then today i started playing again
it's like an addiction that i can't cure <3
u wish you could be with me
