Returning to Maplestory
Hello Maplers..
I just started playing Maple again. Last time I played was when Beast Tamer was released. So, the basic questions are: What did I miss? Any tips on what to merch?
I play in Broa. My main is a Night Lord lv. 179. Range unbuffed 45k ~ 54k ...
I still want to play it, but I want to get stronger. I got 3m, uncomplete empress set (missing cape). What should I look fordward now?
Any tips on what can I buy, or look to buy, or what can I merch and start making some mesos. Maybe i can buy NX cash.. how could I use it to get meso?
I have a lot of other characters, like 24 more, all clases-jobs... how can i use them to make meso for my NL?
For Broans, i have no friends, nor guild... anyone interested in adding me as friends or guild?

CRA = Chaos Root Abyss. It's a level 150 4 piece armour set (hat, top, bot, weapon) that gives hella set bonuses & lets you wear all your tyrant + gollux equips without taking away from any set bonus. Clean slates that drop from elite bosses (there are guides on this, or you can train a noob char to learn about them) are a 10% success rate and don't have a chance to destroy your item.

Sorry I'm a high level noob learning to play again. What are the "CRA" items? And which kind of clean slates are the ones you're mentioning? Don't they explode your items?
You can farm elite bosses for nice cash, as well as NPCing potions from daily bosses (zak twice, HT twice, Hilla twice, Ranmaru twice, I think that's it for your range). Empress gear is pretty much obsolete now. I'd recommend grinding up some quick cash and buying clean CRA gear asap. There's a spell trace fever this weekend which I'd recommend using to 70% scroll your gear (not weapon) for luk. For your weapon you're gonna want to 15% scroll it during fever times, so gradually earn more money to buy clean slates to finish scrolling it over time. Everyone else in this thread pretty much answered everything else for you.
Hunt eiltes for money on a mule (use one around lv 80 for drakes, or 100 for Sandrats)
Do daily bosses on your NL or even star planet to make a few mil every day and to buy ~10 cubes per month.
Spell traces have replaced 95% of scrolls.
Start looking into CRA once you have ~ 30mil (except the claw) as it's dirt cheap.
Do gollux daily. You could get a Sup ring/earring in a couple weeks and sell for a few bil to fund you in the short term.
End game gear is CRA + Gollux + Tyrant,
Basically Nexon has just kept up the trend towards making every job capable of both training and bossing. The inherent differences from job to job have been similarly minimized...and are nearly moot once you get beyond wearing strictly clean gear you collected from mob drops.
If NL is what you like there's absolutely no reason not to keep at it. There's similarly no reason not to branch out and try something else. Lvl 179 isn't much of a set back and it's not much of a head start either. If you want a clean slate, there's no reason not to make one. Even if it's for something seemingly small like world hopping only to main another NL. Do whatever works best for you.

You're going to want to start slow with doing bosses like Zak, HT, and Hilla and NPC everything. Don't buy NX the first week or so of playing til you're sure you're staying though.
