Thief

Nightlord or Shadower

So I want to start playing again, been away for about a year.
I have a lvl 200 shadow and a nightlord, still have some items for about 30-40% luk.
I can spend money to buy nx so that wont be the problem but I want to know what job is stronger and/or more fun to play after being away from the game for awhile.

@Karkinos: Oh that makes more sense now. And I know theyre not easy to fund, but I thought 15b was enough to get a clean tyrant set, and with all the events going on right now it would be really easy to scroll them, and this event will let you give them Unique pot, though not cube them, for free basically.

I just thought that would put you over 100k at least

Join NL force, we don't need no more shads -wink wink-
@Karkinos: 0.o I thought you said you out damaged almost all shadowers? I see some walking around with several hundred k ranges.

And 15b only got you 92k range fully buffed? I find that hard to believe
"I put about 15b funding into my NL, and i out damage every other Shad i see out there. So yeah, if i were you, I would definitely go for NL."

By that, i meant over at HoH and SH O.o because that where you see their true damage. And yes, NL's aren't as easy to fund as you may think...
@Karkinos: just curious, what is your range?

and yea NL are prob the most fun class, and I agree with minchuzuk3, shads seem really boring having ot get up next to the monster to kill it for the first few jobs
Its pretty low

92k buffed

Want actual fun - Night Lord.
Want "more decent than Night Lord damage" without it being worth it - Shadower.
Actually shadowers are more fun to play because of the variety of skills that they have, but that's just my opinion. Shad's are definitely way stronger than NL's though, but stars are cool
Nothing beats throwing ninja stars at virtual slimes!

Night lord, I don't see how people think shadower is so fun? Doesn't seem to fun, they are a slow paced class. And after the RED update pretty sure night lords outdamage them but a bit, check the dpm list.

NL still proally the most fun of all classes imo there's just satisfaction from jumping and throwing stars

Shadowers are stronger (dpm chart)
Fun for every person is different, it all depends on your playstyle.

Go with NL, they do less damage now, but when RED comes I believe their damage gets buffed more than shadowers (not sure was only interested in reading the NL skill updates) so that the damage of the two classes is closer together, besides they are way more fun to play

NL is super fun and shad is good dmg but boring. Spend ur money wisely for NL but its good cuz claws are dirt cheap
And, and you should know that they nerf'd cubes (I think?), so it's best to cube only during double miracle time or w.e. Otherwise you'll end up spending like ten times more than you should be.

Also, using event scrolls that give more than +5atk and using them with shield scrolls and the nx scroll that let's you keep the scroll even if it fails, (I think it's that), is the best option and money-saver.
hehe thanks for warning me but I might just buy already cubed items.
I spent like 25bill?, (it was like a couple years ago so I forget), on my shad, and it got me like 68k range unbuffed, but this way pre-bb, so I could've prob gotten like at least 80kish range with the mesos and nx that I spent.

My friend, on the other hand, spent like... over one or two thousand dollars on his shad and got 275k unbuffed with like 100% boss and around 70 or 80% PDR I think it was (I'm guessing here for the PDR because he quit like a year ago I think). He was able to empress though and hit cap dmg (999k's) on Midnight Carnival.
I think that you'd need just around 150k unbuffed range to boss well? Just get like around 90 - 100% luck, at least 60% boss, at least 30% PDR, and at least get a 200atk+ dagger and a 30atk+ shield. Pot'd rings and scrolling your equips for atk helps too. I remember that all my equips at least had 15atk on them, but I sucked at scrolling.

The only good equip I have right now, (I quit), is my 200atk empress dagger, and with that and around 30% luck, I have almost 40k range unbuffed, and 70 - 80k range buffed I think it was (I could be wrong about the buffed range).
Thanks man! Going to play my shadower then

shad's gunna be way cheaper than NL, and baselards are cheap in Windia too now since theive's aren't really popular at the moment.
