was on my way to the ship from kerning, hen I noticed an octopus that said rare octopus.
killed it, got a love letter, then +3 fame.
What are these rare monsters?

i found a rare brexton and skelesarus didnt drop anything >_> all i got where tickets i couldnt use
I miss having them spawn every ~5 minutes or so. It was good mastery book farming at ToT
They're called treasure monsters.
They used to have a high spawn rate, but it was dramatically reduced.
I decided to do a forum search to see why a Rare Sparker was spawned. I hadn't heard of it, but then... I've taken more than a few breaks, so I tend to miss a lot. The Sparker gave me 3 Leopard tickets. Gotta say, I was thrilled for my lil 7x 'sader. Those suckers come in handy at that level.
Rare Red Slimes.. dropped 3 Leopard Tickets
I found a Rare Rexton once, dropped me a tradable AEE and a MMB.
It is rare beause you killed their kind.....
