Berserk before Big Bang
Do any of you Dark Knights feel as if though you aren't the same since Big Bang? I personally loved the concept of Berserk needing you to be at less than 50% HP. It was a proof of skill knowing when and how to pot, and how to maintain that low of HP as a warrior and still be dishing out big numbers.
I don't know about you guys, but dark knights were better Pre-Big Bang.

@epikdeath: But our zerk right now doesn't exactly blow minds either. You zerk until you get tired enough to stop.
now is definitely easier/better for dark knights, and like people said, more fun is an opinion
the pre bb zerk was more logical though.... the thought of berserkers is them going crazy and getting much more powerful in a pinch, or at the cost of like their hp/defenses
Never needed any skill really. Just blood build past 20000 and work that auto HP.
It was fun though ..
I didn't make my Dark Knight back then, but I was around, and all I ever heard was complaining regarding this subject. And every time Nexon raised the HP threshold, players rejoiced. Maybe absence made your collective hearts grow fonder, but that definitely wasn't the sentiment a few years ago.
That said, I'd take just about anything over mindlessly spamming Dark Impale all day. Sure, there's Rush to break up the monotony, but at the end of the day you're using two skills. Forever. ;_;
Oh....but im just saying with the current situation with drks right now....if we did get all our skills back to the way they were before bb, I wouldn't mind using purple d.buster/fury again. (then again, having the color purple in d.fury/buster wasn't in pre bb...-_- )
It was way more fun, but weaker. I prefer 4 hit crusher.
And not like it matters, but you could glitch Berserk to do the opposite of what it should have done. Where you had to be OVER 50%. I loved training that way. So easy, but boring.
@Above
He's not suggesting us getting pre-BB Berserk back. He's comparing DrK's before to now based on Berserk being more enjoyable to use.
Giving back zerk to the way it is...is bleh. We're already bad in terms of survivability w/o Achilles and the fact d.Blood drains hp along with beholder heal to ruin that idea of having pre-bb zerk to work even more. But maybe.....giving drks the sacrifice a chunk of hp just to give out some dent to a difficult boss before dying is something...
It makes more sense to be BELOW a certain amount of HP than ABOVE a certain HP. It's called Berserk...
Meh, when I'm hene-hoeing around, it looks kinda cool
so thats a plus right zzzz
@iChosenDream: not because of our HP.
We already ARE the weakest survivor
I wouldn't mind if it made us the most powerful warrior or job, as other classes don't have to take such risks.
I haven't played drks pre-bb, so I don't really know how it worked and what it felt like to have to maintain that hp. I feel like that challenge sounds like a lot of fun, but just like a sair's ship breaking, it wouldn't really work in maple today. I also love how we have a skill that recovers hp from attacking so I never have to pot while training!
Plus, imagine those poor bishops trying to heal everybody but you.
If it was like that today, I wouldnt have made a DrK.
I knew of it but had never tried it
IMO it sounds like a really fun way to play maple, they should re implement it with a focus on keeping your hp low as possible to dish out the most damage, that would make drks shine amongst the warriors as the hardest hitter but the weakest survivor :0 and would also contrast to palis really nicely too, with heroes being the middle ground ^-^
just my thoughts
it'd be nice, but i'm very biased with my hp, depends on how you'd pull it.
and suggesting heroes in the middle ground? just the idea makes them deserve another buff.
cant compare the above/under x%, but the other effects, which are bonus dmg and +1 hit for buster, id rather having the current effects, cuz they are way better, imo.
@alphasis: only after you taste my tentacles.
it gave me headaches constantly looking at hp bar. i rather passively press ctrl
and the fun in that is...?
i find it more rewarding to not die because of your skills than because you simply can't die.
no, they weren't better.
they were more fun, which is subjective and therefore just my opinion.
but they weren't better.
