Perma ban? Wth
Hey guys,
I gave my friend a WG a while ago, and I wanted to get it back because of the latest update (My sader was lvl 100 so I wanted to give the 4th job a try). He gave me his info (since he is a close friend), however when I try to log in I get a message that the account has been banned for the use of illegal 3rd party programs or something like that. He is 100% sure he never hacked or used any program to mess with MS. Should he send a ticket to the GM's about this issue? Or would they just ignore him and won't unban him? Thanks for your help.

I believe that that's the case in most cases. But in this case the GM's can't have any proof unless his account got hacked and the hacker did something illegit.
thers a possiblity that your friend's account got hacked by some meso farmer site, and they were using it to bot, leading it to be banned.
Okay, let's make some stuff clear:
1. It is not my own account which got hacked.
2. He has not hacked nor used any illegal program, in the near past. The last time he (and also myself) hacked was back in the days of maple being at version ~0.35 (I think it's very unlikely that they would ban you for something you did about 4 years ago).
3. He hasn't been on for almost half a year now, so there's no way a GM caught him hacking.

If it's perma banned, the user was caught hacking, or doing something against the terms of conditions. It is very RARE that one gets unbanned from a perma, and in the use of "3rd party programs" it's official that the person using the account hacked. You're not going to get unbanned on that account to get your work glove. But alas, work gloves for attack barely give anything now so don't fret. Also, people above are just trying to scare you, Nexon won't bother "tracing" and relating your ISP to your other accounts. LOOL. They won't bother. You can give it a shot, but I'm 99.999% certain you're not getting the account back.

I had a similar experience with my old account, where the day mercs came out I decided to take a small break and returned two weeks later to find my account had be stripped clean of gear (main was naked in the log in on the site) and was unable to log into the game as it had been banned for third party use. I explained it to Nexon through numerous tickets and had asked many times if there was any possibility of my account being unbanned. A whole year later I received an answer, "sorry there is nothing we can do".
And this was during the time numerous accounts had been hacked in to.
