I always study with friends at my university's library.
Try to review everyday for about 10-15 minutes so that it can get into your long-term memory. Or you can also try having a really cold shower everytime you study because emotional/stressful things are easier to remember
And of course flashcards are useful if you can paraphrase.
I put important terms/definitions, etc. on notecards.
I get distracted if I'm looking at information in a textbook or a bunch of sloppily written notes.
Also it helps to remember things if you write them down.
If u get distracted a lot set a timer say an hour or an hour 30 and then do nothing but study until that timer goes off. No using phone, laptop etc.
@TehRaygunicorn: she's always up your ___? damn you lucky dog you

O boy you surely got him there
@xtripled: oooooooh I'm going to need some neosporin after that one
but yeah actually she was always up my !@# about it hahaha
led to one of those fights where she told me I was lazy and too spontaneous and that she was goal-oriented and focused, ouch
Well, I can't call it studying. It's more like doing questions. Open up the questions. Do your homework.

Never studied, I have terrible work ethic
Managed to float through high school with a raw 3.7 and a 3.45 in college though so I can't really complain. A lot of people hate me for that, but I'm not proud because I honestly wish I had worked to my maximum potential[/quote]

Um I usually just study with a friend over skype.
Remove yourself from a computer and find a quiet place to study.
i split it up into 2 days before the test (i don't like studying in advance because it just doesn't stay in my head) so i just study part of it in the 1st day and the rest in the 2nd day
uhhh...wikihow dawg.
But really, try to find an isolated, quiet place in your home. Set up times when you're gonna study. Try eating gum when studying when your preparing for a test, and then when the test happens eat that same gum (your favourite one).
Go to the library. It's difficult to get distracted there.
