I can't say it has saved me but it has definitely reassured me a few times in hellux, can't say the same about hard magnus though.

Despite it having a low %dmg and recovery %, it has saved me numerous times in gollux, magnus, and empress.

OT: Of course you can still get the quest. Better to just do the quest as a NL -> Get Vampire as a NL -> Job change. Why? Showdown has built in drop rate % added.
