actually nexon said theyre thinking about making a reboot 2 but its not 100% confirmed yet.

@masinko: I hardly lagged in dmt in CS and while training in arcane river in 2x (both sessions)...I was even in channel 1. Given that I play in GRAZED but still, it proves the point

@endurance: The lag during 2x is a problem in other servers too, it's not a reboot specific problem. I know a lot of people who rage quit during 2x.

@kaxi: Now I can agree with that. I was there at the start of Reboot and boy was it super duper fun racing and competing with other guilds for top players and reaching for the top. We got to experience all these old bosses being a challenge again and people actally teaming up to take down Horntail and CZak and everyone having to split the rewards likeback in the old days. VL became relevant and his gear was a good idea that many people wanted. It was like old Maplestory for the first few months, but then people hacked and botted and got ridiculous gear and started carrying everyone to endgame so we all skip that content.

That was an amazing time, yea, but having Reboot 2 isn't the answer. That whole idea is based around the game's pacing and piss-poor balance control. You can easily fix this problem by putting minimum range requirements to enter specific content to prevent the game-breaking carries from taking place as early. CRA carries would require a 400k minimum to get in (as you need a minimum of 6 players with 500k to beat them to begin with). Also adjusting boss difficulty to match the game's exponential growth would be a huge plus because 80% of the bosses are beatable solo with 80k ranges while the last 20% typically require 1-5m ranges to solo. Spread out the boss difficulty instead of jamming everything into the first 80k.

The game's whole pacing and progression is totally screwed and making a Reboot 2 won't fix anything, aside from letting some of us relive the early days of Reboot only momentarily till that server winds up in the same boat as the first.

@endurance: This is literally one of the only reasons I hear. We need Reboot 2 cause of lag. Well as many have said, nexon should fix the lag issue and increase the amount of channels.

@xmaplelegend: because 2x exp weekends is a lagfest and people end up logging off until 2x is over. you may notice this is not a problem on the other servers just reboot

I personally want Reboot 2 because I want to start fresh in a reboot server but I want to compete to the top rather than get carried and such. I know it's selfish but ehh.

^Would agree with you but Reboot has adopted several players from previous servers recently not to mention a large portion of EMS players. Nexon has not learned their lesson ever by not upgrading the server so we're only left with one solution. Only other option I could think of is server queue and that is something no one would want.

Yea I think Reboot 2 is a bad idea. A lot of the charm about Reboot is that there are so many people. I think Nexon should stop making MORE servers (that's how the game died in the first place) and start making their servers and netcode BETTER.

Honestly though, I think this lag comes from their shoddy netcode more than anything else. Also part of the reason why there are so many hackers getting away with it. Nexon is pretty much terrible at anything other than making more money.

@wellness: Thats what they should do. Expand it to maybe 25-30 channels and improve stability.

@ness: how long have you been playing Maple for? Scania population is way lower then it once was, even before just Reboot was released. Before most channels are almost max to max. Now's it's 1/2 that at least.

If you want a dead server, play elsewhere. But I can say for most people, we prefer more people.

Why don't you support improving the lag and stability instead of having another world? What will another world do?

The lag occurring is happening for ALL WORLDS INCLUDING NON REBOOT.

Why would you want Reboot 2? Reboot is the only server when they is a decent amount of people on it. If you make Reboot 2, you just killed the population.

More people is better. It's not even that crowded anyway, the only thing that needs fixing is the server lag.

If you have trouble finding a spot to level up, then you need to explore more.

I've really liked that reboot has been crowded. Places seem lively, and that's the only reason I came back. I'm sure that that's the case for many people.

And also to fix the lag, I have all of my sound (and SFX) turned off. My computer can't even run gta 5, but it will play on reboot flawlessly. Not an expert on computers tho.

Servers stabilize when people inevitably leave. Suggest they see little longevity for their game.
