Helping a Youtuber in need

So as a Youtuber I meet a lot of other new, up and coming Youtubers. Ofcourse starting a Youtube channel usually means having only a couple views per video.

My friend is having a really hard time staying in the game because his view count is actually getting worse. I didn't fully understand the gravity of the situation until he made a video about it.
It may be a lot to ask but would anyone mind commenting some reassuring things on his video?

I kinda doubt any people who start YouTube now are gonna get that famous.
Which brings the question: is YouTube dying?

The thumbnails of the videos are unappealing, get someone who is great at graphic design or something. That font too is not quite great for capturing an audience.

I just generally do whatever on my channel considering the time I have available. Even though I really want to do a lot with it, but life gets in the way too often.

Make unique stuff, and make stuff people actually want to see, not just stuff you shovel out in hopes of people wanting to watch it.
Stuff that is interesting, a REASON people will want to watch it.
l have a gay little dj mix channel on youtube and l'm satisfied with a video as long as it gets to a few hundred views because that's essentially how many times it was listened to, and that is enough to make me happy, and if it gets to 1000, it makes me even more happy, and so on and so forth (until copyright blocks of course hahaha).

Basically, just please don't shovel out stupid Minecraft/GTA/CoD stupid ass videos expecting them to get 10000 views everyday. No one is going to care about them unless you have something interesting about it, there are so many millions of other people out there doing the same thing, why the heck would they care to watch yours? And tell your friend to make sure he uploads something he's actually created, it makes it that much more meaningful and you'll feel really nice about yourself.

My friend has low video views as well, but for him, he gets subscribers when he's not posting videos, which is very weird compared to OP's friend.

I don't care much for my own Youtube channel, but I made my friend angry at me because I got 2k views on one 30 second random video and he has yet gotten 2k views on his recent videos combined. He just records gameplay in general, but he has way more subscribers than I do.
