How do you play the Piano with both hands?
So Im taking piano as a class for school. And we started to play songs that require both hands. I cant play with two hands, just one. Any tips to help? I always look at my hands and play, and my teacher told me not to do that.

Practice a lot.
its just the sheer amount of practice that goes into it, and eventually "muscle memory" takes over.
it is really the same thing for almost anything.
This stage is where many people quit playing a keyboard because it is not as easy as they thought
Well I don't blame you, I've heard violin is one of the most difficult instruments to play. Idk why people say piano is hard to control, piano is pretty easy to pick up
From what I've heard, violin is an easy instrument to pick up, but a hard instrument to sound good on.
Ahh I remember those days as a noob XD. Playing scales actually helps alot. Start with something basic such as the C-major scale. This is just so your fingers will recognize the positions. Its alot like how you can type with out looking down at your keyboard. Sooner or later it will become second nature. Keep at it!

Get off Basil and get on Maple hoe
for some reason i just can't get violin right, people say piano is harder to control but i utterly fail at violin, if piano isnt right for you, go for something elesr
Practice both hands seperately until you can play each from memory easily. Then you'll find that when you put them together, your hands move and all you have to do is smile and pretend like you're controlling them.
Well i've been in this boat before. The easiest way I can think of is to play the right hand portion, then the left, then put them together very slow. Remember, when your practicing there is no such thing as too slow of a tempo, because it is better to play it accurately and slow, than fast and sloppy. Basic piano may seem tough, but it really isn't that challenging if you put in the time and practice it.
Well.. I have experience with doing things with both hands.
OT: Practice separately first
play guitar
i gave up piano because i cant play it with both hands either
@kevinhbk: well then idk what to tell you. its like a 1 in a million chance that an asian kid cant play piano. but i guess with the amount of people living there it must happen a lot
I'm completely Asian as well, and it takes me 2 hands to play the 1 hand.
Never had lessons either, so that may be it.

Im full vietnamese.
Memorize whatever you're playing with your right hand first, then do left hand. Then Try to play with both hands. And take it slow.
This. If, when playing with both hands still gives you trouble, play slower or go back and rehearse each hand separately until you can play with both hands.
Then practice with both hands.
Look at mah vids plz.
