Is University worth it?

Was University worth your time and money for those that took it? Were you able to find a job that you studied for? How was life after University?

Going to university is worth the time and effort. A job as a result of a post-secondary degree is a given, but you're also getting more resources and connections than you would normally have. Gaining knowledge is also another given, and learning becomes more efficient since each course is designed by experts in the field; it's better than searching through library books for information. Universities push you to your best, harder than you would to yourself thus enabling you to learn more.

It doesn't guarantee you a job, but at least you are qualified for the job. Most jobs people want nowadays you at least need a bachelors degree from university, if not you aren't going anywhere in that field.

Generally, more schooling is always worth it. Some employers even require Master's degrees now, which is a scary thought.

Depends on your major.
If it's something that's very competitive and demanding the same time, you'll have hard time getting a job.

I think it's worth it since it'll be easier to find a better-paying job, although many successful people dropped out of university...
idk what your school is like, but most of the universities i've looked at pretty much guarantee you a chance to work with big companies for a semester, which gives you a big advantage when it's time for those companies to find employees. If you participate in co-ops or intern or w/e it's called where you go, you should be fine.
They have that but they only choose the best of the best since the school is so densely populated. Still, it would only add to work experience and doesn't guarantee a job. It's plenty of reasons to worry.

Depends what kind of career you wish to go into. I chose to be an automotive technician because the pay is solid and increases exponentially over time. Having a degree for this field is nice and all, but what really matters to employers is experience and certifications. On the other hand for a career in say, computer science, having a degree is probably the best thing to have to get employed, besides experience.

That's a school that's not a university but is very successful in training people that needs skills. Was mentioned in a Canadian magazine to be one of the few who trains aerospace mechanics.

I'm in University second year and so far I'm still worried about finding a career when I graduate from computer engineering.
