Remember when Nexon removed the 90% 9 att scrolls?

Due to them being bad for the economy?

Seems funny now considering they let a dupe go rampant for 2 days and the actual dupers aren't effected

In a way this was exactly what maple needed. People have been complaining about this game being pay to win. Well now everyone can have 15 uniques and 15 stars. The power ceiling was not raised, the strongest players benefitted very little from the influx of these items. However, the casuals who spends almost no money on this game now have 4% all stat on every item. The disparity had lessened.

Seeing as there was no rollback and these items are free to go unchecked, the best thing Nexon can do is admit they effed up and make the game with with the new status quo. The problem now is that new players are discouraged because they will have missed dupe boat. So in a few months the disparity will happen again. The only way to prevent this is to basically make these duped items common drops so everyone gets them.

Either way, Nexon messed up hugely by not going with a rollback.

Side note... I fully assumed there was going to be a rollback so I bought a ton of no booms because I wanted to feel the awesomeness of owning a 15 star tyrant. Had no idea they would resort to banning instead. Now my harmless curiosity is gonna be the end of me.
Dupers hoard stuff in Windia so they now have tons of items and are still selling them like nothing happened. how is this what we needed?

Honestly duped mesos are not going to break the game its just not going to happen, sorry to break your pessimism circlejerk and how can you guys honestly complain about the duped items and then talk about compensation? Compensation for what @Kiitsune?

Bah nexon is stupid, they can't track everyone. Since Hackers probably sold duped stuff and bought legit stuff with those mesos. So people that sold legit stuff got those mesos, probably the main account of the hacker or any legit item for the MAIN ACCOUNT This way what? You'll ban a person that sold a legit item at fm? getting mesos for it? Will you blame people for buying cheap AEE's and nebulities on fm? Well nice one.
None of the items are the problem (okay well, they are a problem but thats easily fixed if you track them down and delete them)

The biggest issue is ALL the duped mesos.
Must've missed the mesos part.
Only thing they publically released in Windia was no boom AEE's. The boss nebs shouldn't be hard to track down. Hopefully we get some sort of compensation for this.. It's rediculous.

It was a good idea in the sense that, when they did it; they probably didn't have anyone there qualified to make decisions like taking the game down yet (which in and of itself is stupid for a completely different reason)

They really should've rolled back though.

I agree But their only solution when it became public was to block mushies from being sold.. Really?

Normally, im an optimist but this is just TOO far, Nexon has pretty much screwed their game at this point by not doing a rollback; Given they could still delete the items in an upcoming SC or something (and thats assuming they can even do that right) but NOTHING can be done about the illegitimate mesos. If they cared about protecting the well being of the ingame economy, the only viable solution once this became public was a rollback.
Same logic that a 15% all stat lvl 3 link skill is too OP.
It would actually be really easy to catch all of them, just look at their NX buy history. Not many dupers were banned...
but that's too hard for them ban everyone! We'll definetly get the dupers and duped items this way, even though there will be a few casualties!
