I need to quit. Help please?

Hey guys and girls, I recently went through my NX purchase history, and after adding all of them up, I feel sick to my stomach. I've spent over $12,000 in the last 4 years alone on this game and now, I'm desperately wanting nothing else but to quit. For those who have, how did you do it?

Also, I WON'T be giving anything away, they are up for sale. Any mesos leftover will be DONATED to random Maplers.

The thing is I make REAL good money from my job, so it wasn't hard at all for me to buy NX (and lots of it!). But the thing is, with the Maple Economy the way it is now, plus the hackers, and the way Nexon addresses things, I don't see a valid point to keep playing. It was fun for a while I'll admit, but I'd rather move on with life and make the best of it instead of being tied down to my chair doing high numbers.

It does work. I've had friends get banned and get refunded their nx. I don't know if it always works for 4 years of purchases though, but the recent ones will be refunded at least.

You can still recover some RL money by selling your stuff in certain websites, after that get rid of that account, the most "legit" way to do it is deleting all your characters and sending a ticket asking for account cancellation.

Dude just play the game, without spending money on it. You don't need any more funding, just enjoy it.

Realize that beating a boss in ten seconds with the money you used to fund yourself drops items that a hacker can get in less than a week of his lifetime without spending any money.
Realize that even if you get to level 250, this game will eventually die out and no one will remember your achievement.
Realize that if you play legitimately and work hard to get good items, hackers can basically use about 1 hour every 500 hours you spend on this game to obtain items of equivalent value.
Realize that every "godly" item will be replaced in a few months with another godly item.
Even if you look kawaii desu or unique to other players, it don't matter.

Some people might give the excuse of playing for the social aspect, but I doubt it.

if you spent $12 000 on this game then quitting then you basically wasted all that money. If you didnt quit at least that wouldnt be wasting

well if he spent $12 000, i'm hoping he can at least get $5000 out of his gear
quitting isn't exactly easy, just sell all your stuff first then either give your account to a friend so they can change the password and you no longer have access to it. However you can get it back when you want to play again, which you will because they always come back. However if you want to go the balls deep approach, just give your account to a random then you won't be getting it back, but then if you do this you'll probably want to play again eventually and be mad at yourself.

yeah nexon's nx cash is way too overpriced in my opinion compared to all the other games and publishers

i think once you have no items, youll lose motivation to play. uninstalling + blocking the main site helps too
