Rearranging a Physics Formula

Hey Basil, this might be a stupid question but I just need a little bit of help on rearranging this formula to solve for g. I'm not exactly sure if what I have is right because I'm not 100% sure when exponents and square roots are involved.

The equation is

T = 2pi sqrt(L/g)

Would I square everything and then multiply both sides by g and then divide both sides by T squared?

EDIT: I'm not a bad student... I'm just asking for clarification. I average high 90s ):

But there is no harm in asking so I don't see why you can't.[/quote]

Yeah, everyone says that, but trust me when I say my teacher is actually bad. The other teachers in the physics department understand too that he can't teach very well, even though he's really intelligent.

And exactly. Don't know why I went to Basil though.

No, my teachers crazy. He barely teaches us anything. He just tells us to do it.

I don't see any harm in asking for clarification... and I'm pretty sure I had the correct answer anyhow.

I just said I wasn't 100% sure and didn't wanna mess up my lab because of it. Just needed clarification.

g = [4pi^2(L)]/[T^2] works too, right?

T/2pi = sqrt(L/g)
(T/2pi)^2=L/g
g = L/[(T/2pi)^2]
