No, sorry, you can't.

If it was like the previous event, you can miss as many days you want till the last day (in which you gotta search up all answer).
Yes you can 'miss days', so if you can't figure it out on Day 8, you can always start looking again on Day 21.
The official rules say - even if you missed a day you can still get the letter for it.
Today is the first day, and I'm pretty sure you can do any of the clues within the event period.
