Violet cubes will balance this game for poorer players

Even though on the surface, violet cubes just seem like another p2w tactic by nexon, which it is, think about the market effects:

Mathematically, you have a 20 times better chance of getting good lines than using red cubes, at around 2-3x the cost. This means that these cubes are about 6x more bang for your buck, which also means that after the latent price of getting an item to legendary, the additional price of getting good potential lines will adjust and decrease about 6 fold, I predict that most legendary equips will be worth about 40-60% of what they used to be worth.

This also means that the huge gap between "upper class" and "middle class" players (Most players, I would say are in this category) will narrow dramatically (Sorry, but if you're too poor, you're gonna be insanely weak compared to everyone else).

Now if they only uninstanced drops since many more people will be able to CRA and Mag now, I'd say it would actually be beneficial for the game.

Seems like a good tactic to keep cube sales strong in between miracle times, assuming of course that cube sales suffer in between miracle times which only happens 4 times a year. If violet cubes operate on a post-miracle time release schedule they'll have 8(4 events for ranking up, and now 4 events for getting better stats) big money draws per year so perhaps that's the goal of these cubes from a business perspective?

For the player, I think this makes cubing a lot more strategic for the player and probably less costly overall. I'm not sure if this will significantly devalue godly equips, maybe temporarily, but I think it will have a positive effect for non-nx players who rely on buying precubed gear or finding trades for your lucky-yet-not-class-relevant stat items.

edit: disregard the first paragraph these cubes seem to be a permanent addition holy wow.

I think violet cubes are a good thing, yeah the price on items will deflate but oh well. Like I said, only people complaining are the ones who want everything handed to them and the funded players who want to make $$$ off their gear when they quit. The people who actually play the game and don't see it as a pile of money sitting in front of them and are willing to work or pay to get higher range see this as a good thing. Sucks that this wasn't released earlier but hey what can you do.

just going to say, violet cubes are going to make everyone godlier...the godlier even godlier, the non-godly more godly. Basically people with 21 go to 24 while people with 27 go to 33. In the end, nexon prepares to release new cap and ups bosses hp. In the end, we all lose, only nexon wins...it's just continued escalation, we should all be sad

Also @OP

The game will become more balanced (in some sense), but not as much as what some people are claiming or predicting. The problem with the violet cubes is that a player is still playing a stupid amount of odds for 6 good potentials and selecting the ones you want. Yes, you do have a greater chance in rolling godly potentials for you selection, but you're still be opened to wide variety of potentials that may not cater to the gear or class.

Also, unless Nexon decides to make this a permanent addition to the game, balance isn't 100% promising. It's only lasting for one day, and I'm sure not every player is going to be able to dump over 100K NX on these cubes to try to perfect their gear.

I like the idea of violet cubes.

but for those who suffered through the old system, can Nexon give them compensation like MP per Legendary untradable they before the cube update?
