Random Hp loss

Whenever I do DI, and from what I can tell, DI specifically, I frequently lose half my HP. Every once in a while, it happens near consecutively and I immediately die. I didn't get hit with this at all on my Paladin or Marksman. I also don't get affected in evo lab (at least I don't remember any instances).

Anyone have an explanation for this? I'd like to reduce the likelihood of my dying as much as possible in something as easy as DI.
Thanks.

Note: I don't just spam shikigami haunting, I also use soul shear a lot. It might just be coincidence, but it feels like it's related and it's hard to pinpoint the cause.

Just like everyone else has stated it seems to be an i-frame issue related to Haku. What I recommend is to set up Kishin (it can help keep the mobs in place when they get hit) right before the flying stage of DIPQ starts and distance yourself from the mobs so you don't get overwhelmed by them all at once; this is what I do at least. Using a HP boost pot can help too.

I've taken 28k to 40k damage at certain points but I have 68k hp with dhb so i'm good.

Yep, it's because
1. Foxfire doesn't give you I-frames
and
2. Foxfire only has a 50% block rate.

So if you're unlucky, and you have all 3 fires up, you could take 7 hits from a mob of monsters all at once.

Surviving an attack like that? In a place where monsters are always the same level as you? I Kanna't even.

I think it is an I-frame issue actually because it happens when many monsters attack you at once. For some odd reason when foxfire is up it doesnt give you I-frames and then you just take massive damage because of the multiple attacks at once. To overcome it, I have noticed if the mobs are attacked before they attack you that splits them up so they are in smaller attacking groups. Meaning less damage taking at once, if you have a pet to heal you this will come in handy and save you

I'd suggest manually turning foxfires off when haku buffs you with it. I believe it is a glitch with that skill. It may still be kind of broken, but fortunately it doesn't dc you anymore like it used to
