I got Mario Kart 8 and it got boring after a week of release. It's only fun with friends.

Smash for sure. Speaking for myself but neither MK 7 nor 8 could ever compete with the wii version, I own both and I just can't get into it even with online play.

SSB has more things to do. If you get a Wii U, I'd get SSB over Kart 8. I got bored of Kart 8 the month it came out.
Mario Kart 7 got boring, if you have a Wii u, get it for that. Go for Smash! 1vs1 matches normally run smooth and can get really intense and fun. I just wish 2vs2 or any 4 player mode matches were less laggy
Super Smash Bros. 4, it's much more entertaining and also since I have both and rather play that due to it being my favorite game on the 3ds but sometimes playing mario kart 7 on wifi is also fun.
Smash 4 for sure. Mario Kart is fun but Super Smash has much more content.
