I prefer the term "athlete."

Edit: They could always learn the ukulele or parkour like I did
>parkour

this is exactly what I meant by 'non-team sport,' albeit a lame one.
No. Team sports are for everyone. Except the people who suck at them.
and here's the jock who doesn't understand that other people are not like him

team sports aren't for everyone, but you can still do activities with people that are fun, independent and non-competitive. skateboarding, cycling, and the like are all good choices.

Drugs, lots of Drugs (Caffeine that is).

Seriously, make sure yer balanced with your academics and social life.
I've seen one too many students (yeah I'm looking at you Asians, heh) break under all the stress (i.e. health issues); and on the flip side there were others who didn't give a flying monkey and were only there 'cause The Man said they had to.
Aim for decent grades and some sort of after school activity; colleges love clubs and the like nowadays.
Edit: Relationships? Eh, just make sure the friends you do have don't end up interfering with the rest of your social and academic life. I had the problem of some friends dumping their problems on me; stressing me out.

I *knew* there was a reason I went gray before my junior year...

Okay, advice about how to balance school work and a life. Done.

Any advice on relationships, or do they actually matter.
play sport,do work,talk,thats it.

Sport = alot of friends
good grades = teachers like you so that means its easy to get out of trouble. BONUS: people will depend on you for help with work which means more friends.
Talk: getting friends(duh.)
Do you think that a social life of fun and no worry take precedence over your school career?

Best tip ever.
Don't talk to any one unless they are your friend or teacher.
This will make stuff SO much easier.
you should always aim for the best possible; just don't be ferociously disappointed if you don't make it. Try to at least keep up whatever grades you had before.
Would it be hard to keep up a 94% average in IB?
Just keep on top of your work if you're in IB and don't overcommit to extracurricular activities and/or school sports. If you're just wanting to get a decent grade, aim for 80%; otherwise, try for as high as possible if you're going for the top-notch universities/colleges.

@MagykFist: Maybe music that's been created by local artists in the city...?
Oh. I thought he was talking about stuff like ... (can't think of any artist on the spot), but would you happen to know any decent artist from Toronto?
I have heard that in academic and whatnot, it is quite easy to maintain a balance of homework and social life, but do you know anything about the life of an IB student?
no offense but IB is kind of a joke, while its more advanced than regular classes its less advanced than AP classes, doesn't count towards college and really kind of forces you into certain classes. I guess what I'm trying to say is you get no choice in what you specialize in.

and OT: its not all that hard to balance, most people manage to balance homework and social lives with AP classes and those are way harder.

Edit: clearly should have read further cuz I totally missed you saying everything I said there eff 3
I loved high school. Get to know teachers and be nice to people. Pretty much all there was
I've been known to piss people off very easily, but with a kind hearted spirit-kinda way. I'm not very a social kind of a student, so how do I get on the good side of teachers?
#37 listen to local music

great way to meet people and a fun thing to do on the weekends
What do you mean by "local music"? If by that you mean American Mainstream, then that's a no-no.

as shallow as it is, everyone will like you and they will be more likely to remember who you are
One girl dropped out of the program in her first year, but everyone else stuck with it. It's a lot of hard work though, so if you're lazy you might not want to go the ib-route.
It's too late now.
I know I won't get a 100%, so what is a good grade to aim for?
Well, it's a very complicated program. But International Baccalaureate, to the best of my knowledge, it is a program like AP except that it offers no flexibility. It gives you better international recognition for universities and colleges.
There is only one high school in my school board that offers that, and I didn't know about it until last year.

It seriously doesn't matter at all. People get into the best universities without it.

I've heard it's very stressful, but some people manage if they really love their studies and want a good future.

High school is easy. You will understand this once you are done with it. College is pretty easy too. You will understand this while you are still in it.
