Shadower Vs Dual Blade Post Red

Many people have questioned this, I have wondered this myself.
How do Shadowers and Dual Blades compare to each other?
If we had the same gear, same stats, same everything. People have their own opinions, but I decided to test this myself.
I turned into a Dual Blade.
Tbh. I learned a lot of things.
For one, DBs have lower ranges than shadowers
I went from 1.6 -> 1.2 buffed range. Shads easily win buffed range because of Flip the Coin.
I went from 1.1 -> 1.1 Clean range. Dbs have a slightly higher clean range. I'm using a 116 attack Katara. I guess it's average attack?
Bossing:
I tried Madman Ranmaru as a general boss to test boss damage, I had 167% boss on my DB, and 227% on my Shadower.
When I was using Phantom Blow, it seemed slower than Assassinate.
Once I used Asura, I think I blinked and it died. Asura helps sooooo much, it's ridiculous. Especially with it's 100% PDR, I was hitting max easy with Asura.
That's where DBs get their main DPS from, Phantom Blow is nice, but Asura just kills it.
Dojo:
In Dojo, I looked at my Shadower Dojo video and compared it to my DB Dojo video.
I have to remember that,
I'm using 187% boss damage on my shadower
127% boss damage on my DB.
Assassinate seemed as if it did a LOT more damage, faster and quicker than using PB.
I measured how many seconds it took to kill some bosses on my Shadower vs DB.
Shadower Assassinate time was generally 2/3 of DB's time. This was the trend for all the bosses.
For example: Lyka boss: Shadower: 14 seconds Only spamming Assassinate
Lyka boss: DB : 25 seconds Only spamming Phantom Blow
Final Panda boss Shadower: 16 seconds Only spamming Assassinate
When using Asura on DB: 8 seconds Asura
Training:
I went to train to see how well DBs do against Shadowers in HoH and Golems.
I found it easy as a DB training at both areas.
All I did was Flying Assaulter and Bloody Storm. Sometimes I just Bloody Storm and it 1 hit KO Golems.
As a Shadower, I can 1 hit them easy with BStep.
The mobility from a DB's FA and BS is far superior than our flash jump Bstep.
End Results:
So the end results which I've learned from this experience is that
In training, Dual Blades have more mobility than shadowers. Damage wise is the same. FA and BS have 4 hits while Bstep has 3 hits. Bstep hits higher, but FA and BS have more hits, so it roughly evens out.
In Bossing, In those 10 seconds of using Asura's Anger, a DB just completely wipes the floor, no problem.
I haven't changed back to Shadower yet, reason being, I ran out of mesos trying to change into a DB LOL. It costed me 520m to change from a Shadower -> DB.
Then Books costed about 125m.
Feedback:
If you have any other questions, or tasks you can think of so I can better compare DBs and Shadowers, Please leave a note, I'd love to test before I switch back.
Those who WILL say, I'm a traitor to shadowers, I'll be completely honest, I really wanted to try DBs, they seemed fun, and stronger. I also wanted to test my gears on a DB, using the same equips. But after switching to a DB, I miss my shadower so much, they're a LOT more fun, I don't like the play-style of a DB at all, and I'm begging my friends for mesos so I can switch back to a Shadower haha.
<3 Shadowers for life
Note: Kataras do make a HUGE difference in range and Damage. I was scrolling one with the +8 attack scrolls for these tests, and it made a HUGE difference for my range.
In response to some comments: I know that DBs didn't change. Their revamp will make them even more stronger than they already are. This is just to show the difference between Post-Red Shadowers, and Pre-Red Dbs. For a couple months now, people will still ask the same questions, I was hoping to make this thread to clear up the confusion.

I was planning on switching to a DB, but now I'm unsure.
Although our revamp wasn't great compared to the other adventurers, I've never had so much fun on my shad before! I've gotten a lot more powerful, assassinate is much faster, and meso explosion is just o.o o.o o.o

Imma steal this thread for a bit.
My current range on my shad is around 75k-85k fully buffed (flip the coin included) and I have around 30%-40% ignore def, 30%-35% luk and between 460-560 attack. What would be my range and how much damage would I do? I'll be using a 93 attack katara (might be at 100+ once I level it).
What above said ^^

Cost me about 520m to job change, and books on top of that. I've essentially spent 1.1b+ just changing within the last two days haha.
Yeah, I just realized hahaha, yeah it must really suck to switch classes

I think he's talking about the mesos required to changed jobs and for all the 4th job books.
I changed into a shad also, they're a lot of fun. my range is a lot lower because the pot on my dkhanjar is balls. But remember youre comparing a pre-red DB, they've yet to receive their 'revamp' so your info may be subject to change especially since PB gets faster.

Earlier today I changed back into a DB again, but for some reason I seem to like shadower's so I'm thinking of going back for a bit (Goodbye mesos )
I'm with this guy. Since DB at the moment is Pre-Red, this comparison, while very in-depth and worthwhile to read, seems unfair to even go through.

However, as my biased self, I would say Shadowers have a more fun play-style in general. *flameshield on*

@cRogue I'd guess your range would increase by about 80-100k or so.

I want to switch to a shad too, what buffed range would I get if I have about 300k as a DB? ;assuming the dragon khanjar I get is 30~40 attack and decent pot
What's the optimal combo to use when bossing a Shad?
I just switched my DB to a Shad to try it out.
DS+nate. Bstep+Savage Blow for summons or you could Sudden raid or shadow veil. Macro together DS+nate+nate.

OT: Nice comparison, hoping to see less DB vs Shad posts in the future
