as @Spiritbag said, you get the same bonus regardless of shield or secondary. The main perk to a shield is the fact that it has slots, so you can scroll/trace it for a significantly higher boost than a normal secondary!

They do? I never used a secondary. Would selling a clean dkhan and buying a slashing shadow (Assuming it has a good potential) be efficient?

i doubt it... theyll just get a blue secondary weapon (shadows or something... forget what they call them)

Doubt it probably will get a frozen secondary.
