Windows 10

Apparently Windows 10 is a thing that is happening.

Are you expecting it to be terrible?

One possible reason for skipping the name "Windows 9" that's being floated in the tech world is lazy programming similar to the "Year 2K Bug".
Apparently some applications search for the first character of the Windows version to determine what version of Windows is on your computer.
So if the first character is "9", they might assume Windows 95 or Windows 98 and if you were running the newest "Windows 9" OS you might get a "Sorry, your version of Windows is too old to run our app, please upgrade your Windows" error.

I don't know if any of that is true or just an "urban myth".
But essentially they're just skipping "9" and calling it "10".
Still think they should have just named it something.

Another possible reason is that Microsoft wanted to really distance the new operating system from Windows 8 so people don't think it's just a "fixed" version of 8.
Supposedly it's going to be very different internally and they don't want anybody to think it's just an incremental upgrade.

I don't know if any of that is true or just an "urban myth".

Shoulda been Windows X. Idk I like 7. I used to have Vista but like lol no.
Usually windows skips a generation when it comes to quality OS.
So 10 might just be amaIng.

@mitarumetaro: I know. I'm just saying that companies coming out with new stuff not long after their release of a similar product isn't weird.
Nah I don't think it'll be bad. I liked Windows 8

And wtf what about 9?
They want to show that they are "forward-thinking" and "progressive" or w/e, which is why they are jumping to 10. Or some crap like that.
So they got tired of giving it names and just start numbering?
I guess?
I sort of wish they were naming them again. There are so many names they could use
