How do you tell if halibut is cooked?
-_- My mom said the fish she gave me is halibut, and brought me to my dads. My dad wont be back until who knows when, his GF is out at the mall (I don't think she knows any ways.), and google didn't help AT ALL.
I have cooked this piece of fish at 450 for almost 45mins now and its STILL not white ANY WHERE. I am baking it like my mom told me to.

EDIT : My mom gave me the wrong god damn fish. Sorry about the hassle. >_>
I conclude that you are not very good at using google.

Wait... 45 minutes at 450?
Has this thing been sitting in a -30F freezer?
Umm, you messed up on it. Try 20 - 25 in 320 degrees Fahrenheit.
If he did it for 450 degrees F for 45 minute and that didn't help, then what would 20-25 at 320 do?
Oh yeah, I forgot I made this thread.
Any ways, it STILL isn't cooked.
I took it outa the oven.
It is SOLID pink with white ooze all over it.
WTF is wrong with my fish?
It is a fillet, not the whole thing.
So you have a mom and your dad has a GF?
Woah. Fish should never take that long. Is it a whole fish or just a fillet? If the meat flakes apart then that means it's cooked.
