Bounty Hunter Quest Exploiters will soon be free

http://maplestory.nexon.net/community/#%2Fshowthread.php%3F1288253-IMPORTANT-News-Regarding-Recent-Bans%26nxid%3D6

TLDR: Nexon is giving you guys a second chance. All bounty hunter exploiters will be free in 2 days.

EDIT: Updated to Oct. 12th, so make that 9 more days.

I used 240 of those bounty hunter cubes on a single sw tattoo and it was still epic after the last cube. That's karma for you I guess.

By the way, the unban date for all bounty hunter abusers is now October 12th. That's pretty messed up for the 30 day people.
Nexon did this as a scare tactic. They're hoping to scare people into not exploiting again. I honestly don't share the same point of view as you guys in the sense that nexon is desperate for money. Yes, this will also increase their revenue, but overall, I feel like they banned everyone because people never took them seriously enough so they simply abused exploits with the mindset that Nexon would not punish them.

I feel like Nexon intentionally took advantage of this exploit, waited for people to exploit it, and just hit everyone involved so they could send a message. Maybe they didn't intentionally allow this exploit to happen, but they most certainly thought it through very well: Nexon never intended to keep everyone permanently banned.
yeah cause being banned for buying duped items in the past when they became public or having your items completely deleted weren't enough of a deterrent. Or even, weeks long hell bans. People are always going to take advantage of exploits because it's too tempting to resist for most people. Maplestory has a population that isn't as high as it used to be. Losing anymore causes financial problems. The game itself isn't exactly appealing to a lot of people given the amount of time/$$$ needed to become strong. There's also not much to do in this game if you don't enjoy merch-ing, training, or are not strong enough to do end game bosses. Could your opinion be correct? sure, but the money/population opinion certainly isn't wrong either. Could easily be both.

There are many decisions that Nexon has made that I have disagreed with in the past, but the more I learn about this game, the more I realize how well thought out most of the things Nexon has released are. Nexon has done some idiotic things in 2014 , but overall, I still believe they're a pretty smart company.

Feel free to disagree with me. This is just my little interpretation of Nexon's most recent bannings.
Items galore.

Alot of people got unique tier items, with a 30 day ban penalty.

I'm sure we'll be seeing these equips on the market soon. also, a population increase/return (however small)
Ah well, another second chance. I'm glad they addressed the consistency issue, and while I think reversing all perm bans is a bit too lenient, I doubt many of those people will be taking their chances next time. Overall, this is a good move on Nexon's part.

Trust me, the cubes sucked it was blown way out of proportion. Most I got out of it was bonus potential on a few things that didn't already have it,and epic potential on 2 of my equips. In fact, I lost 3% dex on my badge. I must say its really nice to get a second chance, and I'll be sure not to do anything stupid like this again.
